The name sounds grand and touristy, but honestly, it’s this perfectly lived-in apartment tucked away on Pędzichów street that feels more like staying at your well-traveled friend’s place than some sterile hotel room. I mean, you’re literally steps from the main square – I could hear the trumpet call from St. Mary’s Tower every hour, which sounds annoying but actually becomes this charming little soundtrack to your stay.
The “pastel” part isn’t just marketing fluff either. The walls have this soft, weathered quality that somehow makes the whole space feel both historic and cozy. What I really appreciated was how they’ve kept the character of an Old Town building (those thick walls, the slightly uneven floors that tell stories) while actually making it comfortable for modern travelers. The kitchen isn’t huge, but it’s got everything you need if you want to grab ingredients from the Cloth Hall market and cook something up. Speaking of which – and this is something you won’t find in most descriptions – the water pressure is actually decent, which, trust me, isn’t always a given in these centuries-old buildings.
Location-wise, you’re in that sweet spot where you can stumble back from Floriańska street after a night out in about three minutes, but you’re just far enough off the main tourist drag that you won’t have drunk groups singing under your window at 2 AM. I walked to Wawel Castle one morning – took maybe fifteen minutes at a leisurely pace, cutting through some of those narrow side streets that make you feel like you’ve discovered something secret. The building itself sits quietly among other residential spots, so you get that authentic neighborhood feeling while still being right in the thick of everything that matters. One tiny thing – the entrance can be a bit tricky to find the first time (it’s one of those situations where Google Maps gets you close but not exactly there), but once you figure it out, you’ll love how tucked away it feels. With a 9.3 rating, clearly other people have figured out what makes this spot special too.
