City of The Kings Piano Apartment Overview
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to this place on Rakowicka, I wasn’t expecting much from the outside. It’s just a regular residential building in Grzegórzki, and if you blink you might miss the entrance. But man, once you get inside this piano apartment, it’s like stepping into someone’s stylish friend’s place who actually has their life together.
The whole setup feels more like staying at a music-loving local’s home than some sterile hotel room. There’s actually a beautiful piano in the main space (hence the name, obviously), and I mean a real one that you can play – not just decoration. The apartment itself is surprisingly spacious for Krakow standards, with these lovely high ceilings and original details that remind you you’re in a city with serious history. What really got me was how quiet it stays despite being pretty central. You know how some places in Krakow can get rowdy, especially on weekends? Well, Rakowicka is residential enough that you’ll sleep well, but you’re still only a 15-minute walk to the main square. Actually, that walk is pretty perfect – you cut through some of the prettier side streets that most tourists never see.
The Grzegórzki district itself is sort of having a moment right now. It’s not quite as polished as the Old Town, but that’s exactly why I liked it. There’s this great little coffee shop called Drukarnia just around the corner that locals actually go to, and you’ll find yourself grabbing pastries there most mornings because, well, the apartment has a full kitchen but sometimes you just want someone else to make your coffee. Speaking of the kitchen – it’s properly equipped, not one of those sad hotel kitchenettes with a broken microwave. I ended up cooking a few meals because the nearby Carrefour has everything you need, and honestly, after eating pierogi every day for a week, sometimes you just want to make pasta. The whole place feels lived-in but well-maintained, if that makes sense. Like someone’s grandmother decorated it, but their grandmother had excellent taste and a decent budget. Parking can be a bit tricky in this area – it’s mostly street parking and you might have to circle the block once or twice, but that’s pretty standard for this part of town. The trams are super convenient though, with the Rakowicka stop practically at your doorstep, so you might not even need a car depending on what you’re planning to do.

Reviews of City of The Kings Piano Apartment
Great location with a homely and relaxed feel. A great place close to everything you need with modern amenities and beau – Kylie from Australia – May 22, 2025 (10/10)
It was such a homely end to my stay in Poland. It felt relaxed and peaceful and like I was coming “home” after a long day exploring. It’s situated within walking distance of krakow and near public transport. I loved that there was a great cafe located downstairs and several convenience stores within 2 mins
What could be improved: The parking is the same everywhere in Poland but returning the garage keys on my last morning ended with a confrontation with a rude tenant of the property. I had already done a 10min lap of krakow trying to find somewhere to park so that I could put the keys back into the room and leave, and decided I’d be 5 mins, I needed to get to the airport, I’ll park in the driveway as I’d seen many others do before for brief periods, and on my return a snooty lady parked me in wanting me to return to the carpark when I no longer had the key to open the garage. I notice a lack of compassion from drivers is commonplace and this occurrence was no different. It didn’t detract from my stay but perhaps a lock box situated in the reserved car space may allow this situation to be avoidedVery Good – Nadezda from Czech Republic – May 14, 2025 (8/10)
Very fancy and nice apartment with all you would need during your stay. There is a really good location close to the main station, shop center and city center.
What could be improved: Unfortunately, it's not clean enough. There is dust on almost every surface, even the bedding didn't look very clean (lint).Exceptional – Gabriela from Iceland – April 21, 2025 (10/10)
Huge bonus- piano. Cosy, well equipped, great location. Nice host.

I loved this spacious apartment. The pictures don't serve it well, it is much, much nicer! The bed was huge and very comfortable. There is even a tiny balcony to relax. Away from big city comotions.

What could be improved: Like most apartments, no air conditioning so it could get quite warm but we had a fan and patio doors to openI recommend . – Wieslawa from United Kingdom – August 24, 2023 (9/10)
Very nice, clean and comfortable flat in good location. Close to the Old town, train station, shops around. Easy check-in, very good communication with owner.
What could be improved: Couple of small things are broken and need attention of landlord.
