It’s one of those spots where the name actually delivers – Classy Old Town Apartment really does feel like staying in someone’s well-appointed city pad, not a sterile hotel room. I mean, when I first walked up (and honestly, the address situation is a bit vague on booking sites, but it’s right in the thick of the old quarter), I wasn’t sure what to expect from a 3-star setup. But that 8.7 rating? Yeah, I get it now.

The whole vibe is what I’d call “effortlessly put-together” – like your friend who somehow makes thrift store finds look expensive. The apartment has this lived-in elegance that you just can’t fake with generic hotel furniture. What really sold me was walking in and smelling actual coffee brewing, not that weird hotel lobby scent they pump through vents. The space feels authentic to the neighborhood too, which matters when you’re trying to get a real sense of a place. I actually ended up chatting with neighbors in the hallway (in broken whatever-the-local-language-was), and they treated me like I belonged there, not like obvious tourist #47 of the week.

Here’s the thing though – and this is important – it’s properly quiet at night despite being dead center in everything. I was worried about street noise because, well, old town usually means cobblestones and late-night revelry, but the windows are surprisingly solid. Mornings are different story in the best way – you wake up to actual neighborhood sounds, people heading to work, local cafes firing up. The Upstairs management folks clearly know what they’re doing; check-in was refreshingly straightforward, none of that “let me show you seventeen amenities you’ll never use” nonsense. They just handed over keys and mentioned the good bakery around the corner (which, by the way, absolutely worth the early wake-up call). If I’m being completely honest, it’s not going to win any awards for cutting-edge design, and the shower pressure is more “gentle European experience” than “power wash,” but that’s sort of missing the point. This is the kind of place where you actually want to hang around the apartment instead of just crashing between tourist activities – and in old town locations, that’s pretty rare without paying resort prices.

  Great location, short walk into town of around 5-10 minutes, quiet at night, supermarket just around the corner, apartment was clean and well maintained, hosts helped with booking trips and got us picked up from the apartment, would stay again, fantastic property and even better hosts

  Mieszkanie godne polecenia, duże pokoje, wystarczająca ilość łóżek (byliśmy 4 osoby dorosłe + 2 dzieci), czysta pościel i ręczniki, w kuchni wszystkie potrzebne sprzęty, łącznie z kawiarką. Lokalizacja dobra, krótki spacer na Rynek czy Dworzec. Byliśmy w 30 stopniowe upały, w pokojach były dobre, wystarczające wiatraki. Świetny kontakt z Gospodarzem, ogólnie bardzo polecam
