The kitchenettes are actually useful too (rare find!), with full-sized appliances and enough counter space to prep a real meal if you’re tired of eating out. I spent a couple of mornings making coffee and watching the old town come alive through those big windows, and honestly? That might have been my favorite part of the whole stay. The beds are comfortable, though the pillows run a bit soft if you’re into firmer support – just something to keep in mind.

The staff here gets it right in that understated way that makes everything feel effortless. Check-in was smooth, they actually listen when you ask about local recommendations (the concierge steered me toward this incredible little bakery that I never would have found otherwise), and housekeeping is thorough without being intrusive. Location-wise, you’re right in the heart of things without dealing with the chaos of the main tourist strips – it’s that sweet spot where you can walk to everything but still get a decent night’s sleep. Parking can be a bit of a hunt during peak times, but there’s a garage about two blocks over that’s reasonable. The 8.8 rating makes complete sense once you’ve stayed here; it’s the kind of place that doesn’t have any major flaws and gets all the important stuff right. Sure, the décor could use a refresh in some areas, and the elevator’s a bit temperamental, but these feel like minor quibbles when everything else works so well. If you’re looking for a place that feels more like a well-appointed apartment than a cookie-cutter hotel room, this is definitely worth booking.
