I was worried about street noise since it’s right in the heart of things, but the windows are solid and I slept fine even during the weekend nights when Kazimierz gets properly lively. The building itself has that classic Krakow character – you know, the kind where the stairwell looks like it’s seen some history but everything inside the apartment is modern and well-maintained.

Actually, what impressed me most was how the owner clearly gets what travelers need. There’s proper storage space (revolutionary concept, I know), the wifi actually works for video calls, and the shower has decent pressure – small things that make or break a longer stay. The whole setup feels like someone’s actual home rather than a sterile rental property. I ended up extending my stay by three days because, well, why move when you’ve found the perfect base? You’re a five-minute walk from the Jewish Quarter’s restaurants and galleries, ten minutes to the main square if you’re feeling touristy, and there’s a fantastic little bakery around the corner on Starowiślna that locals actually frequent. Fair warning though – if you’re coming during summer festival season, book way ahead because places like this in Kazimierz disappear fast. The area gets packed but in the best possible way, and having a spacious apartment to retreat to after days of wandering cobblestone streets? Trust me, your feet will thank you.

  What could be improved: Das Haus liegt an einer vielbefahrenen Straße direkt an einer Straßenbahnhaltestelle. Dementsprechend ist die Lautstärke, so dass der zur Straße gelegene Balkon nicht benutzbar ist. Bei geschlossenen Fenstern hält sich der Lärm allerdings in Grenzen.
