You know what? I wasn’t expecting much from ComfyStay Old Town when I first walked up – honestly, three-star hotels can go either way, and the name sounds pretty generic. But this place actually surprised me in the best way possible. The moment you step inside, there’s this immediate sense that someone really cares about the details here. The lobby has that lived-in warmth that you only get when a place has been thoughtfully maintained over the years, not just slapped together for tourists.

What really won me over was how the staff seemed to actually know the neighborhood. I mean, when I asked about grabbing coffee in the morning, the front desk guy didn’t just point me toward the nearest Starbucks – he told me about this tiny café two blocks over where locals go, the kind of place where they know your order by the third day. That’s the thing about staying in Old Town; you’re right in the middle of everything, but not in that overwhelming touristy way. You can walk to most of the main sights without dealing with taxis or figuring out public transport, but you’re also on these quieter side streets where you actually hear birds in the morning instead of just traffic. The rooms themselves are… well, they’re not going to win any design awards, but they’re genuinely comfortable. My bed was one of those that’s firm enough that you don’t wake up with a sore back, and honestly, the shower had better water pressure than some four-star places I’ve stayed at. The windows actually open too – which sounds basic, but you’d be surprised how many hotels have sealed you in completely.

I stayed there during what I’d guess was a pretty busy weekend (there was some festival happening), and while I could hear people coming and going in the hallways, it never felt chaotic or loud. The walls are thick enough that I slept fine, even though I’m usually pretty sensitive to noise. Check-in was smooth – they had my room ready early, which saved me from wandering around with my luggage for hours. And here’s something small but important: they actually have decent Wi-Fi throughout the building, not just in the lobby. I worked from my room a couple mornings without any issues. Look, this isn’t a luxury resort, and it’s not trying to be. But with a 9.2 rating, they’re clearly doing something right, and after staying there, I get it. It’s the kind of place where everything just works the way it should, the location puts you right where you want to be, and the people running it seem to understand that travelers want genuine comfort, not just Instagram-worthy amenities. If you’re looking for somewhere reliable in Old Town that won’t blow your budget but also won’t leave you complaining about your stay, this is honestly a solid choice.

  Apartment very warm and comfortable. Blinds for windows, nice view, quiet area. Easy walk to main square. Very pleasant kitchen area with good seating for 6 , cooking facilities with wine glasses , pots,pans , cutlery etc. Lots of plugs for phone charging, good lighting etc. ashing up liquid for dishes and coffee appreciated and used.

  This is a really lovely apartment in a great location, it is only a 10 minute walk from the main square with lots of shops and cafes around, the host was very helpful and responded very quickly to any questions that I had.

  lovely stay in this apartment! very clean and exactly as shown in the photos, 4 adults stayed comfortable in here for 4 nights plenty of space. comfy beds and the separate duvets we all loved! This is also in a great location between old town and jewish quarter, lots of cafes and restaurants near by. We couldn’t fault it

  Communication from the owner was fantastic throughout. The property was exactly as described and just like the images. It was spacious, had everything you could need for either a short or long stay and was big enough to allow us our own space to relax. The Christmas tree was a lovely touch. It was very close to all areas of interest, walking distance intact. It was cosy and very safe with the secure entry and door lock mechanisms. If I went back to krakow I would without a doubt stay here again.
