Honestly, when I first walked into this place, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star apartment — I mean, you know how these Old Town listings can be hit or miss. But this cozy flat actually surprised me in the best way possible. The location is what really sold me though. You’re literally a two-minute walk from the Main Square, which means you can stumble back from those late-night pierogi crawls without having to figure out the tram system (trust me, you’ll appreciate this after a few Żywiec beers).

What I love about staying here is that you’re right in the thick of things but somehow it doesn’t feel touristy-crazy inside the apartment itself. The building has that old Krakow character — thick walls that actually keep the street noise down, which is pretty impressive considering you’re this close to Floriańska Street where things can get lively. The flat itself feels lived-in rather than sterile, if that makes sense. There’s proper kitchen equipment (not just a sad mini-fridge and a kettle), and honestly, picking up some oscypek cheese and bread from the morning market on Plac Nowy became part of my routine. The heating works well too, which — well, if you’ve spent a November in Krakow, you’ll know why I’m mentioning this.

I’ll be straight with you though, the staircase is a bit of a workout (typical for these medieval buildings), and if you’re traveling with massive suitcases, just mentally prepare yourself. But once you’re settled in, the whole experience feels authentic rather than hotel-generic. You’re staying where locals actually live, on streets they walk down to grab their morning coffee. The rating of 9.3 isn’t just inflated booking site nonsense — people genuinely seem to get what they’re hoping for here. I ended up extending my stay an extra two nights because, honestly, why deal with switching accommodations when you’re perfectly positioned to explore everything? Wawel Castle is an easy fifteen-minute walk, the Jewish Quarter in Kazimierz is just across the river, and if you want to venture out to Wieliczka Salt Mine or Auschwitz, the tour pickups happen right from the Main Square. It’s one of those places where you feel like you accidentally found a local secret, even though you probably just got lucky with your booking timing.
