You know what? I’ll be honest – when I first saw the address for Cozy Kapelanka apartment on Rozdroże, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The street name literally means “crossroads,” which had me wondering if I’d end up somewhere noisy. But honestly, this little gem surprised me in the best way possible.

The thing about this area – and I mean this in a good way – is that it feels properly residential without being boring. You’re tucked away from the tourist chaos of the Old Town (thank god), but you can still hop on a tram and be at the Main Square in about fifteen minutes. The building itself sits quietly on this tree-lined street, and I actually loved that it doesn’t scream “tourist accommodation” from the outside. Walking up to number 21B, you pass these charming little gardens that the locals clearly take pride in – you know, the kind where someone’s grandmother is always out there fussing with the flowers at 7 AM.

Inside, well, they weren’t kidding about the “cozy” part. The apartment has this warm, lived-in feeling that’s hard to fake – like staying at a Polish friend’s place rather than some sterile hotel room. The windows face away from any main roads, so mornings are actually peaceful (something I definitely can’t say about my last stay near Wawel Castle). What really got me was the attention to small things: proper thick towels, a coffee setup that doesn’t require an engineering degree, and – this matters more than you’d think – really good blackout curtains. The heating works brilliantly too, which you’ll appreciate if you’re visiting between October and April when Krakow gets properly cold.

The neighborhood really shines when you start exploring on foot. There’s this excellent little bakery about three minutes away where the woman behind the counter will patiently help you with your terrible Polish pronunciation, and a small market that stays open later than most. I found myself walking to the nearby park along the Vistula quite often – it’s one of those spots where you’ll see more locals than tourists, people walking their dogs or kids kicking footballs around. That’s the thing about staying here: you get a glimpse of actual Krakow life instead of just the postcard version. Sure, you won’t stumble out your door directly into medieval streets, but honestly? After a day of navigating crowds and cobblestones, coming back to this quiet corner felt like exactly what I needed. The 9.8 rating makes perfect sense once you’re there – it’s the kind of place where everything just works without any fuss.

  Много чист апартамент, добре декориран с всичко необходимо за престой на 4 членно семейство. Намира се в близост до трамвай и автобус, с които за няколко минути се озовавате в центъра. Придвижването с Bolt до там също не е скъпо, така че има добър избор. Наблизо има търговски център с голям супермаркет Кауфланд. Има самостоятелно паркомясто в подземен паркинг. Като цяло сме доволни от престоя си.
  
  What could be improved: Имахме нужда от пералня, защото пътуваме повече от седмица. Пералнята обаче не работеше, за което щеше да е добре да бъдем уведомени предварително.
  Паркомястото е доста тясно и паркирането на неголям SUV е предизвикателство.
