You know what struck me first about Cracovian Apartment – Loft Affair? The building itself feels like a piece of Krakow history that someone cleverly turned into something modern without losing its soul. Walking up to 15 Świętego Tomasza, you’re literally in the heart of Old Town – I mean, you can practically hear the horse carriages clattering over cobblestones from your window, which is either charming or slightly annoying depending on how jet-lagged you are.

The loft setup is honestly pretty clever. They’ve kept those gorgeous high ceilings and exposed brick that make you feel like you’re staying in some artist’s converted studio, but everything actually works properly (unlike some “atmospheric” places I’ve stayed). The kitchen surprised me – it’s not just for show, you can actually cook a decent meal if you want to skip the tourist restaurants for a night. Though honestly, with places like Café Camelot just around the corner on Świętego Tomasza, you might not want to. The bathroom’s modern enough that you won’t be wrestling with ancient plumbing, which believe me, is a blessing in this part of the city.

Location-wise, you’re spoiled here. The Main Square is maybe a three-minute walk – close enough that you can pop back if you forget something, but far enough that you’re not dealing with the worst of the tourist crowds right outside your door. I actually loved being on Świętego Tomasza because it feels more like where locals might actually live, you know? Plus, you’re perfectly positioned to explore both the Old Town sights and wander toward Kazimierz when you want something a bit different. Fair warning though – weekends can get lively with people heading to and from the square, so pack earplugs if you’re a light sleeper. The 8.3 rating feels about right to me; it’s not perfect (the stairs might challenge anyone with heavy luggage), but it nails that sweet spot between authentic Krakow character and modern comfort that most places either overthink or completely miss.

  The location was fantastic, very near to the main square!! The apartment was very clean, a great size and had two double beds! It also had a bathtub which is another reason we chose it!
  
  What could be improved: There is no lift! You had to climb up 4 flights of stairs to get to the unit! Hard to do if you have a lot of heavy luggage.

  It was full of character, lovey big rooms with high ceilings. decorated nicely. Great location. Secure Good WiFi. Washing machine.
  
  What could be improved: It was advertised as having an oven but It didn’t! One of the reasons we booked this apartment was for the oven! The curtains had come off the runner in the main bedroom so it let the light in as we couldn’t close them, and the tv didn’t work at all.

  Really liked the character of the apartment- lovely big rooms with high ceilings. Great proximity to the main square but also had bars and cafes directly on the doorstep. Would definitely recommend. Owners responded very quickly to any queries we had and were very helpful.

  The apartment was in an excellent location, within walking distance to places of interest. It was well equipped, clean & close to lovely bars & restaurants.
  
  What could be improved: The curtains in one of the bedrooms were hanging off the rails & I was unable to reach them to fix the problem because of the height of the curtain rail. Due to this, it was very light in the bedroom making it difficult to sleep. I tried to contact the owner via WhatsApp & messages, but they were blocked once I'd received the initial information to gain access to the apartment.

  Location was great, really central in Old Town. The beds were comfy and the bedrooms were really nicely decorated. High ceilings and big rooms.
  Tea and coffee included, with a coffee machine (there is instructions on how to use this).
  There are three restaurants just outside the door to the building with both inside and outside seating – Camelot Lulu do great breakfasts and we ended up having breakfast there every day.
  
  What could be improved: Shower head not mounted to wall meaning we had to "sit-down" shower, or bath. Not ideal as it was over 32degrees during our stay so didn't feel particularly refreshed.
  The apartment does not have aircon but we did request two fans were provided ahead of check in which they were.
  Note for those who may not manage it – you have to climb two flights of stairs with suitcases to get to the apartment, there is no elevator.
  We were asked to leave a review BEFORE our stay to waive the early check in fee, which we did not do and I'm glad we didn't – I did have some concerns about the integrity of this and was worried that some of the reviews I had seen may not be genuine.
  The door did not feel particularly secure. On the outside there are three key holes, but only one inside. It was a bit temperamental trying to get the door to lock and unlock and I felt that the one lock from the inside was not well secure.
  The bathroom and kitchen are small but does have the essentials needed.
  No view from the apartment, you look out onto a wall and a roof below.
  Some of the plug sockets are almost hanging off the wall.
  No communal/reception room to relax in as the main sofa and dining table are in one of the bedrooms.
