Look, I’ve stayed in plenty of places around Kraków’s Old Town, and honestly? Most of them feel like they’re trying too hard to be something they’re not. But Cracovian Home – LoftAffair actually gets it right. The moment you walk into this place on Świętego Tomasza street, you realize someone put real thought into making guests feel comfortable rather than just impressed. It’s tucked right in the heart of the Old Town – I mean, you’re literally a three-minute walk from the main square, but somehow you’re on one of those quieter cobblestone streets where you can actually sleep at night without drunk tourists singing under your window at 2 AM.

The loft setup is what really sold me on this place. You know how most hotel rooms feel cramped and impersonal? Well, this feels more like staying at a stylish friend’s apartment – one who has way better taste than you do. The spaces are genuinely spacious (not that fake “spacious” hotels love to claim), with high ceilings that make you forget you’re in a centuries-old building. And speaking of old buildings, they’ve managed to blend modern comfort with that authentic Polish character without making it feel like a museum. The beds are actually comfortable – I’m talking proper sleep, not that stiff hotel mattress experience. Plus, having a kitchenette means you can grab fresh bread and cheese from the morning market on Plac Nowy and have breakfast without paying hotel prices.

What I really appreciate is how they handle the practical stuff that other places mess up. Check-in was smooth (they actually answer their phone), the WiFi works throughout the space, and – this is huge if you’re driving – they can sort out parking for you, which in Old Town Kraków is basically a miracle. The location puts you right between the Jewish Quarter and the main tourist areas, so you can wander over to Szeroka Street for dinner or hit up the clubs on Floriańska without needing taxis. During the day, you’re close enough to all the must-sees, but when evening hits and you want to escape the tour groups, you can duck back to your loft and feel like you’re living in the city rather than just visiting it. I mean, with a 9.3 rating, clearly I’m not the only one who thinks they’ve figured something out here. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to extend your stay – not because there’s more to see, but because it just feels right.

  Excellent all round accommodation- perfect location 2 mins walk to main square but in a quiet corner so no noise from outside. The facilities were outstanding- very large rooms, really clean and luxurious.
