Cracow Central Aparthotel Overview
You know what? The Cracow Central Aparthotel on Kurniki Street turned out to be one of those pleasant surprises that makes you feel like you actually know what you’re doing when picking places to stay. I mean, it’s tucked right in Old Town – and I’m talking properly in the thick of things, not some “Old Town adjacent” situation where you’re actually hiking twenty minutes to get anywhere good.
The building itself has this solid, no-nonsense vibe that I honestly prefer to some of the overly precious boutique places around Krakow. It’s got that Eastern European apartment block aesthetic, but in a good way – thick walls that actually keep the noise out (crucial when you’re this close to the action), and these surprisingly spacious units that feel more like someone’s well-appointed flat than a hotel room. The kitchenette setup is actually functional too, which matters if you’re staying more than a couple nights or – like me – you get tired of restaurant food and just want to grab some bread and cheese from the little shops on Florianska Street. Speaking of which, you’re literally a three-minute walk from the main drag, but far enough down this quiet side street that you’re not dealing with the tour groups and street performers until you want to.
What really sold me on this place was the staff – they’ve got that perfect balance of being helpful without hovering, and they actually know the neighborhood. The woman at reception steered me toward this little wine bar on Szewska that I never would’ve found otherwise, and when I mentioned I was looking for a good pierogi spot that wasn’t totally touristy, she immediately knew exactly what I meant. The whole operation feels pretty well-run honestly – check-in was smooth, the WiFi actually works (not a given in some of these older buildings), and they keep the common areas clean without that sterile hotel feeling. Sure, it’s a three-star place so you’re not getting marble bathrooms or fancy toiletries, but everything works properly and the beds are comfortable enough that I wasn’t thinking about my back in the morning. The location really is the star though – you can walk to Wawel Castle in about eight minutes, hit the Main Square in five, and there’s a good coffee place right around the corner on Bracka Street where the locals actually go. For the price point and that 8.1 rating, it delivers exactly what it promises without trying to be something it’s not.

Reviews of Cracow Central Aparthotel
Good value for money – Katya from United Kingdom – August 13, 2025 (8/10)
Was clean, very close to the train station. Good shower, quiet. Nice central location.
What could be improved: Hairdryer stoped working after 1 minute.
My room was on the second floor so I didn’t have normal windows, windows were on the roof. I was staying for 1 night, so it didn’t bother me.
No lift in the hotel.Very Good – Matej from Czech Republic – August 12, 2025 (8/10)
It's near Krakow Glowny train station and within 10 minutes of walk you are on the main square, which is amazing. Even though check-in is from 2 pm, they allow you to lock your luggage and also lock it even after check-out! There was everything we needed (towels etc.) and even a small fridge!
What could be improved: The shower was little bit small, but it wasn't a big problemGreat location, good facilities and clean. – Ruth from United Kingdom – August 12, 2025 (8/10)
Great location, good air con, nice to have a fridge and kettle.
What could be improved: Flickering light and tricky shower (needed to get the water pressure correct or it fell down), a little noisy inside the hotel due to being near the stairs.Fine for an overnight stay near the train station – David from Spain – August 10, 2025 (8/10)
Fine for an overnight stay near the train station
Convenient location – Rattana from United States – August 5, 2025 (8/10)
Clean room and excellent location just few minutes walked from main train station and few minutes to old town touristy area. The room was very compacted, ok for short stays, served the purpose as I needed to be near train station.
What could be improved: Space is limited and noises can be heard from outside the door or next door but not too bad as I was already awakeSuper ! – James from United Kingdom – August 4, 2025 (9/10)
Amazing room and bathroom, great location and spotlessly clean.
What could be improved: Only downside is no lift, so need to carry your luggage upstairs.Thx – Malgorzata from United Kingdom – July 28, 2025 (7/10)

Is locate close to old town and train station so give us a big opportunity to see the old town and use the train to see the Auschwitz-Birkenau and Wieliczka. The staff was very helpful.
What could be improved: Too hot in the room, the fan helps to cool down the room but is too loud.fully corresponds to the description – Yaryna from Ukraine – July 2, 2025 (9/10)
Great location, 5 min from central train station
What could be improved: Can be a bit noisy
