Hotel Description
Look, I’ll be straight with you about Cracow Rent Apartments on Krowoderska Street – it’s one of those places that doesn’t look like much from the outside, but actually delivers where it counts. The building itself is pretty typical for this part of Old Town, maybe a bit worn around the edges, but honestly that’s half the charm of staying in Krakow’s historic center.
What really surprised me was how genuinely spacious these apartments are. I mean, when European listings say “spacious,” you learn to be skeptical, right? But these actually are – we had the place for five people and nobody felt cramped. The kitchen was big enough that we could actually cook (which we did, because there’s a Żabka right around the corner and the local market on Krowoderska has incredible bread). The whole setup feels more like borrowing a friend’s apartment than staying in some sterile hotel room. The furniture’s nothing fancy – sort of that IKEA-meets-inherited-from-grandmother vibe – but everything worked and the beds were comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up feeling like I’d been wrestling with the mattress all night.
The location thing is interesting because while the name mentions Kolberga Street, you’re actually on Krowoderska, which honestly works out better. Kolberga’s nice but Krowoderska has more going on – you’ve got that whole stretch leading toward Planty Park, and yeah, it really is about ten minutes to the Main Square if you walk at a normal pace. I timed it because I’m weird like that. The neighborhood feels properly residential, which means it gets quiet at night (something you definitely can’t say about places closer to the square), but during the day there’s enough foot traffic that you don’t feel isolated. There’s this little courtyard situation where you enter that actually blocks out most of the street noise – I was worried about that since Krowoderska gets busy during the day with people cutting through.
You know what really sold me on the place? The staff actually seemed to know the city. When I asked about where to get good pierogi that wasn’t touristy, the guy didn’t just point me to the obvious places – he mentioned this spot on Dietla that I never would have found otherwise. Small thing, but it made a difference. Check-in was straightforward too, no weird complications or surprise fees, though I should mention there’s no elevator so if mobility’s an issue, definitely ask for a lower floor when you book.
Is it perfect? Well, no – the WiFi got spotty in the evenings when everyone in the building was probably streaming, and the shower pressure was more “gentle suggestion” than “power wash.” But for the price point and the actual space you get, it’s a solid choice, especially if you’re traveling with a group or planning to spend real time in the apartment rather than just sleeping there. It’s the kind of place where you can spread out your stuff, make coffee in the morning without waiting in line, and actually feel like you’re living in Krakow for a few days instead of just visiting it.

Reviews
Good location, clean, but cold and super loud – Gintare from Lithuania – March 13, 2025 (6/10)
It was good location and clean apartment
What could be improved: Flat was super cold. When we enter heating was off and there was no hot water. After we realized that boiler fir hot water off so we needed to wait an hour for water to get warm. Boiler also start leaking and dripping on the floor so we needed to use bucket. Pillows were so thin that we needed to use decorative pillows to make it at least a bit normal looking pillows. 7am also people start bringing bins down the stairs and we jumped from the sound of itcomfortable & cosy apartment! – Annabelle from United Kingdom – December 13, 2022 (8/10)
perfect apartment for our trip, great location within walking distance of centre, comfortable, clean, warm everything we needed.
What could be improved: there is quite a few flights of stairs as properly is in attic on 4th floor.Good – Sára from Slovakia – April 21, 2025 (6/10)
Nice, clean, good location,
What could be improved: Broken shower head that could not be used properlyNot recommended for young families – Carol from United Kingdom – September 22, 2024 (7/10)
Location was good, nice quiet area not far from main square. Apt was very clean.
What could be improved: Far too many stairs up to 4th floor. No lift unfortunately 😕.
Access stairs up to 2nd room in attic had no handrail so very dangerous, especially coming down. Upstairs area consisted of 3 single beds only, no other furniture, no wardrobe or even a small set of drawers. Area was not all floored around the edges so if you moved to edge you could see into bedroom down below, obviously no soundproofing either. Not ideal, no privacy whatsoever! Also main shower head not working so had to manually shower with small one. Overall wouldn't recommend, especially for young families.Great place to stay for exploring the Krakow city center – Ján from Slovakia – January 2, 2024 (8/10)
Very good and quiet location, very close to a general store and a bakery. Close to city center, maybe 15 minutes of casual walk.
Apartment was clean. Kitchen was well equipped. Beds were comfortable.
What could be improved: The place could use some wardrobes in bedrooms. The Internet and TV did not work.Enjoyable – Lene from Denmark – July 20, 2023 (8/10)
Very well located in nice neighborhood. Value for money
What could be improved: Nothing actually. Perhaps finding a way to have more air circulation on top floor when it is very hot.Pleasant – Clare from Malta – July 5, 2023 (6/10)
Location
What could be improved: The address in the title says Kolberga but the location address gives another street so it was confusing. We were supposed to receive key instructions but we didn't. We kept trying to phone and message the owner but got no reply. We managed to get into the block thanks to a helpful neighbour. Thankfully the key to the apartment was in the indicated box next to the door.Krokow stay, good location and clean apartment – Stephen from United Kingdom – May 20, 2023 (8/10)
The apartment was clean, well presented.
What could be improved: Stairs to the apartment, top floor.
Also loft space was tricky to move about to and from.Pleasant – Loraine from United Kingdom – April 14, 2023 (6/10)
The closeness to the main square.
What could be improved: 8 flights of stairs to get to the apartment
The Internet didn't work on any of our devices.
The rooms aren't fully walled off so we could hear everything.
Info says the apartment is for upto 7 people. There was 4 adults in our party, anymore would have been squashed. But it was OK for the length of time we were there for what we paid.
I emailed asking for a later check out 3 days in advance but by the time they replied check out time had already passed.Very Good – Decoda from Malta – December 20, 2022 (8/10)
tge property is nice , but their is a lot of stairs to go up
