Speaking of which, you’re close enough to the Old Town that you can walk there easily, but far enough away that you’re not dealing with the late-night party crowds stumbling around at 2 AM. The trams run pretty regularly along the main road too, so getting around is actually simple. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward – none of that overly formal hotel lobby nonsense, just friendly staff who seemed to actually know the city when I asked about where to find good pierogi (they pointed me toward a spot locals go to, not the touristy places).

Here’s the thing that really sold me on this place: it’s got that 9.4 rating for good reasons you don’t immediately see. The rooms are clean in that deep-clean way, not just surface tidy. The beds are genuinely comfortable – I’m talking about waking up without that hotel bed backache. And honestly, the whole building just feels well-maintained without being sterile. You’ll notice little touches like decent water pressure in the shower and windows that actually open properly for fresh air. The neighborhood itself has this lived-in feel – there’s a small grocery store nearby where the owner started recognizing me after a couple days, and in the mornings you can smell coffee and pastries from the local bakeries. It gets a bit busier during summer when everyone wants to walk along the river, but even then it’s not overwhelming. If I had to nitpick, the Wi-Fi can be a little spotty in some corners of the building, and parking isn’t included, but there are options nearby that won’t break your budget. Overall though, this place hits that sweet spot where you get more than you pay for – which, let’s be honest, doesn’t happen that often when you’re traveling.
