CracWoW K8 No.1 Apartment Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to CracWoW K8 No.1 Apartment on Karmelicka Street, you immediately get that “I’m in the real Kraków” feeling. This three-star property sits right in Old Town — and I mean really in it, not on some distant edge where developers claim it’s “near” the center. The building has that authentic Polish character you’re hoping for, without trying too hard to be boutique-y or overly polished. You’ll notice the attention to detail in the restored stonework and the way the entrance blends seamlessly with neighboring historic buildings.
Location That Actually Delivers
Honestly, the location score of 9.9 isn’t just marketing fluff — you can walk to Market Square in about five minutes, maybe less if you’re not stopping to peek into every charming doorway along the way. Karmelicka Street itself is this lovely mix of local life and tourist-friendly spots, so you’ll find proper Polish cafés next to places that won’t look at you funny if you don’t speak the language. The Cloth Hall, St. Mary’s Basilica, all those must-see spots? They’re basically your neighbors. From your doorstep, you’re within striking distance of the Jewish Quarter and the banks of the Vistula River.
The Apartment Experience
What I really appreciated about staying here was getting an actual apartment rather than just another hotel room with the same beige everything. You get space to spread out, which matters more than you think when you’re hauling around souvenirs and trying to plan your days. The setup works especially well for couples — there’s something nice about having a proper place to settle in rather than living out of a suitcase for your entire stay. The kitchen is well-equipped for preparing simple meals, and the apartment feels lived-in but well-maintained, if that makes sense.
Neighborhood Life
One thing you notice staying on Karmelicka is how the street comes alive at different times of day. Mornings bring locals heading to work, afternoons see tourists discovering the area, and evenings? Well, you’re perfectly positioned for Kraków’s famous nightlife without being stuck in the loudest part of it. There’s a good mix of restaurants within a two-minute walk — from pierogi spots the locals actually use to more international options when you need a break from Polish cuisine. The surrounding streets offer everything from vintage shops to contemporary galleries.
Why Guests Love It
The 9.4 rating really shows, and I think it comes down to this place delivering exactly what it promises without any unpleasant surprises. You’re getting authentic Kraków living in the heart of everything that matters, but you’re not paying upscale prices for the privilege. Couples seem to particularly love it here — probably because there’s enough space and privacy to feel romantic without being isolated from the city’s energy. It’s that sweet spot where you feel like you’re experiencing real local life while still having everything you need as a traveler within easy reach.

Rose from United Kingdom (10/10)
The apartment was really clean and comfortable.
We went as a group of 3 and were more than happy with the amount of space we each had.
The bathroom is a little small as other reviews have mentioned but not a problem at all.
The location is great, 5 ish minute walk into the main square. We were very impressed with how quiet the apartment was. We left at 5am one morning for an excursion and there were still loads of people making noise in the street but you couldn't hear a thing inside. There was a little bit of noise from apartment 2 when coming / going in the shared hall, but other than that, silence. It was also very warm, which we were grateful for as it was 1 degree outside.Samantha from United Kingdom (10/10)

Ionut from Romania (9/10)
Excellent location just outside the center, in an old but nicely renovated apartment. There are plenty of places nearby to have breakfast, eat and have a drink. There is also a Carrefour Express next door.
Carol from United Kingdom (10/10)
The apartment was big and spacious, with everything we needed. It was quiet although on a key route close to the trams. It was a short walk to the main square for the city. There is a grocery shop next door open 24 hours. There is a hairdryer which was not listed on facilities there is a bakery attached to the property so each morning you get a smell of baking which was lovely.
