Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw “narrow studio” in the name, I thought it was just real estate speak for “tiny.” But this little place on Kochanowskiego actually surprised me. It’s tucked into one of those classic Krakow buildings where the stairs creak just right and you can hear the city settling in around you at night, but not in an annoying way. More like… you know you’re somewhere with history.

The studio itself is small, sure, but whoever set it up clearly knows what travelers actually need. The kitchenette isn’t just for show – I mean, you can actually cook a proper meal if you want to save some zloty instead of eating out every night. And honestly, being right in Old Town means you’re walking distance from everything that matters. Rynek Główny is maybe eight minutes if you’re strolling, five if you’re rushing to catch something. The thing is, Kochanowskiego is just far enough from the main tourist crush that you won’t have drunk bachelor parties stumbling past your window at 2 AM, but close enough that you can pop out for pierogi whenever the mood strikes.

What really got me was how the place feels lived-in rather than sterile. The building has that solid, pre-war construction – thick walls that actually keep sound out, unlike some of those modern places where you hear everything. I stayed there in October when the weather was getting crisp, and the heating worked perfectly without making those awful radiator noises that keep you up. The neighborhood has this nice mix too – you’ve got locals doing their daily shopping, a few good cafés where baristas remember your order after two visits, and honestly, some of the best bathroom tile work I’ve seen in Poland (weird detail, but you notice these things). Street parking can be a pain if you’re driving, but that’s true anywhere in the Old Town. The 9.5 rating makes sense once you’re there – it’s not luxury, but it’s exactly what it promises to be, done really well. Perfect for someone who wants to actually experience Krakow instead of just staying somewhere fancy and predictable.
