Hotel Description
Honestly, when I first walked into Cu Residence on the main square, I wasn’t sure what to expect – the entrance is pretty understated for something sitting right on Rynek Główny. But once you get up to the actual rooms, it’s like stepping into someone’s incredibly stylish apartment, which I guess is sort of the point with the whole “LoftAffair” thing.
The location is absolutely bonkers good, and I mean that in the best way. You’re literally on the main square – like, you can hear the trumpet call from St. Mary’s Tower every hour (which is charming during the day, though you might want to pack earplugs if you’re a light sleeper). What’s brilliant though is that you’re on the square but not dealing with the chaos of the tourist crowds right at your doorstep. The building itself feels tucked away enough that you get some peace, but step outside and you’re thirty seconds from Cloth Hall, maybe two minutes from all those little streets heading toward Kazimierz. I actually loved being able to grab coffee from one of the cafes on Floriańska in the morning – there’s this little place just around the corner that does proper espresso, none of that tourist trap stuff.
The rooms themselves are what really won me over. They’ve got this whole industrial-chic thing going on, but it actually works instead of feeling try-hard. Exposed brick, really comfortable beds, and – this is key – proper blackout curtains, which you’ll appreciate since summer nights here barely get dark. The spa part isn’t huge, but the massage I got was legit, and honestly after walking around cobblestones all day, that little wellness area hits the spot. What I didn’t expect was how quiet it could be inside despite being right on the square – they’ve clearly invested in decent soundproofing. The staff actually knows the area too, which sounds basic but you’d be surprised how many hotel people just hand you a generic map. These folks gave me actual recommendations, like where to find the best pierogi that isn’t just the obvious touristy spots (turns out there’s this place on Grodzka that locals actually go to).
The only thing I’d mention is that parking is… well, it’s the Old Town, so don’t expect to pull up right outside. But they’ll sort you out with directions to nearby garages, and honestly, once you’re settled in, you won’t want to drive anywhere anyway. Everything worth seeing is walkable, and the trams are right there if you want to head out to Nowa Huta or wherever. I stayed here in September when the crowds thin out a bit but the weather’s still nice, and it felt like having a proper base in the heart of everything without sacrificing comfort. For a four-star place, it punches above its weight – that 8.9 rating makes sense when you’re actually there.
Hotels in Krakow offer visitors the opportunity to stay in the heart of this medieval masterpiece, with easy access to castles, churches, and traditional Polish experiences.

Excellent location! You step out and you are in central square, cosy and quiet apartment, comfortable beds.
What could be improved: Poor ventilation in bathroom and unpleasant smell in next day. Lack of hot water for second bath. No view, just roofs. AC just in central room.Lovely stay in Krakow – Iryna from United States – August 8, 2025 (10/10)
Location can not be better! The apartment is spotless and super stylish. Loved everything about it. Free water bottles are a big plus. AC is helpful during hot summer months. It has shampoo and other toiletries which is nice

Decorated beautifully, super cosy and great location.
What could be improved: Walls between rooms are very thin and you can hear the neighbours clearly… so depends on how noisy the neighbours are!Exceptional – Paweł from Poland – July 26, 2025 (10/10)
Amazing apartment with soundproof bedrooms, high ceilings and AC. I've particularly enjoyed the free access to the wellness room with dry sauna.

Extremely good looking and super central – right on the main square for an extremely reasonable price.
