Honestly, when I first walked up to Dajwor Residence, I wasn’t sure what to expect – the entrance is tucked away on this narrow cobblestone street that feels like a hidden passage through Krakow’s Old Town. But that’s actually part of what makes this place special. You’re literally staying in the Jewish Quarter, and I mean right in the heart of it, not some touristy approximation.

The building itself has this restored historic feel without being stuffy about it. The apartments (they call them lofts, which is pretty accurate) are surprisingly spacious, and you know what really got me? The windows. Massive things that flood the place with light during the day, and at night you can hear the gentle sounds of people wandering the quarter – it’s never rowdy, just… lived-in, if that makes sense. The kitchens are actually functional too, which is rare for hotel-style places. I ended up cooking breakfast a couple mornings because there’s a little market just around the corner on Szeroka Street where locals shop.

What I loved most was the location – and I don’t mean that in a generic “convenient” way. Walk five minutes and you’re at the Remuh Synagogue, another five and you’re on the main square with all the chaos that brings. But here on Dajwór, it’s quiet enough to sleep with the windows cracked open. The staff seems to actually know the neighborhood too, not just the major tourist spots. They pointed me toward this tiny bookshop on Józefa Street that I never would’ve found otherwise. Parking can be tricky (it’s Old Town, so yeah), but they have arrangements with a garage nearby – just ask when you book. The whole experience feels less like staying in a hotel and more like borrowing a friend’s really nice apartment in one of Europe’s most atmospheric neighborhoods. Sure, it’s not luxury in that marble-lobby way, but the 4-star rating feels right – everything works well, it’s thoughtfully designed, and that 8.9 guest rating makes total sense once you’ve stayed here.

  Amazing location, comfortable and clean and good price . Also everything here you’ll need and quiet and cosy too.
  
  What could be improved: Only thing is it’s 2 double beds and 1 sofa bed so if there’s 6 of you like there was us, it’s bit of a squeeze!

  The contacts for this booking were super helpful and kind to answer all my questions and were flexible to facilitate early check-in on short notice as one of our friends was arriving early. The check-in procedure was super easy. The apartment is very beautiful conformable, and well heated considering the temperature outside, it felt like coming back to home at the end of our day.
  The location of the apartment was extremely helpful for events that our group was attending over the weekend. Great food options nearby and close to all transport options.
