I’ll be honest – when I first saw the name “DeLux Apartament” I was a bit skeptical (the spelling threw me off), but this place on Kochanowskiego totally surprised me in the best way. You know how sometimes a 3-star rating doesn’t tell the whole story? This is one of those cases. The 9.5 rating makes way more sense once you’re actually there.

The location is what really got me – you’re literally a few minutes’ walk from the main square, but tucked away on this quieter residential street where you actually get some peace at night. I mean, you can still hear the occasional tram rumbling by, but it’s not like those places right on Floriańska where the party crowds keep you up until 3am. The building itself has that solid old Kraków charm – thick walls that actually keep the sound out (something you’ll appreciate if you’ve stayed in those converted medieval buildings with paper-thin walls). What I loved was how the apartment felt like someone’s actual home rather than a sterile hotel room. The kitchen was properly equipped – not just a mini-fridge and kettle situation, but actual cookware if you want to grab some fresh bread and oscypek from the morning market on Plac Nowy.

Walking around the Old Town from here becomes this easy, natural thing rather than a touristy expedition. You can slip out for morning coffee at one of the locals’ spots on Karmelicka, then wander over to see the Cloth Hall when it’s not completely packed with tour groups. The apartment gives you that flexibility to come and go as you please – honestly, after a day of navigating cobblestone streets and climbing up to Wawel Castle, having a proper space to spread out and decompress makes all the difference. The host clearly knows what travelers actually need too. There’s decent WiFi (I was working remotely part of the time), plenty of hot water, and – this might sound small but it matters – good lighting for reading or just relaxing in the evening. Sometimes these historic district places can feel a bit dark and cramped, but this one strikes that nice balance between old-world character and modern comfort. I’d definitely come back, especially knowing how hard it can be to find that sweet spot between being close to everything but not right in the chaos of it all.

  Everything- Marcin was super helpful and responded really quickly! The apartment was perfect for our family and gave us an amazing week in Poland.
  Facilities were fab and there's plenty of storage.
  Excellent location for exploring Old Town and transport for other parts of the city. Super price and a good space to have as a base. Also super accommodating with additional requirements such as a cot for the baby. Thank you for a wonderful stay that enabled us to cater for a family with varying ages and needs meaning self catering was the only way!!

  What could be improved: Only that it was advertised as having 2 double beds and a dogs bed in the lounge room. It was actually 2 sofa beds and only one double. Usually if you book something with 2 bedrooms it’s because both bedrooms are required. When we arrived only one bed was made up. No big deal however we had to find the sheets and make the bed up.

  Lovely, clean apartment. Hosts were easy to contact and everything was as described. It’s close to the tram stops and the bus to the salt mines. About 15 minutes walk to the main plaza. Would stay again!
