Designomania Apartments – Nadwiślańska 11 Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Designomania Apartments – Nadwiślańska 11, you immediately get the sense that someone put real thought into this place. The building sits quietly on a tree-lined street in Podgórze, and honestly, the neighborhood feels like one of those areas locals don’t really want tourists to discover. It’s got that authentic Krakow vibe without the crowds — you know, the kind of spot where you’ll actually hear Polish being spoken more than English. The entrance is understated but modern, and there’s something refreshing about a four-star property that doesn’t feel the need to shout about itself.
The Podgórze Advantage
Here’s what I love about this location — you’re literally across the river from Krakow’s Old Town, but you get to stay in what feels like a completely different city. Podgórze has this emerging creative energy, with galleries and cafes that haven’t made it into guidebooks yet. The couples who stay here seem to get it (they rate the location 9.7, which honestly makes perfect sense). You can walk to the main square in about fifteen minutes, but when you come home at night, you’re not dealing with hen parties stumbling down your street. Plus, there’s actual parking here — and it’s free, which anyone who’s driven in European city centers will appreciate.
The Apartments Themselves
The rooms at Designomania Apartments live up to their name with clean, contemporary design that actually feels livable rather than just photogenic. I mean, you can tell they’ve thought about how people actually use spaces — there are proper work areas, decent storage, and kitchenettes that you’d actually want to cook in. The beds deserve a mention too; guests consistently rave about getting great sleep here, and after testing one myself, I get why. They’ve invested in quality mattresses and bedding, which sounds basic but you’d be surprised how many places get this wrong.
What Sets It Apart
What really strikes me about this place is the repeat guest situation — apparently more people come back here than at most other properties, and that tells you something. It’s not trying to be the flashiest option in Krakow, but it nails the fundamentals that matter when you’re actually living somewhere for a few days. The staff seem to remember guests, the neighborhood stays interesting without being touristy, and everything just works the way it should. There’s also something to be said for staying somewhere that feels more like a temporary home than a hotel room — especially in a city like Krakow where you want to feel connected to the place, not just passing through it.
Why Guests Love It
The 8.8 rating reflects what you’d expect from a property that’s found its groove. People come for the location — that perfect balance of accessibility and authenticity — but they remember the comfort and the sense that someone’s actually paying attention to details. Whether you’re here for a romantic weekend (which seems to be a popular choice) or a longer stay where you want to feel settled, Designomania Apartments delivers on the promise of modern comfort in one of Krakow’s most genuinely interesting neighborhoods.
Krakow’s hotels showcase the perfect blend of Polish royal tradition and modern comfort, with many featuring historical tour services and authentic Polish hospitality.

Reviews of Designomania Apartments – Nadwiślańska 11
Exceptional – Çağla from Turkey – June 6, 2025 (10/10)
The apartment was very clean. And the host was so nice, I kept asking them questions which are already in the file at the room which I didn't see for some time. The balcony was a great luxury, ac was great, kitchen was a delight.
What could be improved: The lamp on the coach was a hazard even for a short person like me:) I kept hitting my head to it, sth to think about. Also an extention cable to the coach would be great, couldnt check my phone when it is on charge. Not big problems at all, just suggettions.Excellent – Tiziana from Switzerland – April 14, 2025 (10/10)
The apartment was very clean and the bed was very comfortable.
Exceptional – Cristian-dan from Romania – December 27, 2024 (10/10)
A cozy, clean and warm apartment situated next to Vistula. The host gave us clear instructions to get the keys, the apartment has everything you may need. Excellent location, across the river is Kazimierz, lots of good restaurants in the area. Also public transportation if needed. Second time been here, always satisfied. We’ll be back next trip in Krakow.
What could be improved: Everything was excellent, no complaints!Great stay in a quiet central location – Noemi from Ireland – October 5, 2024 (10/10)
Clean and comfortable apartments (we booked three of them for our large group), great communication, great location for sightseeing. When we had a small problem – we noticed a bird being stuck on the floor above us and struggling, we let our hosts know and they fixed it immediately with the building administrators. It might be a small thing but for us it meant a lot and we appreciated the quick action. We enjoyed our time and would book again without hesitation.

Everything
What could be improved: hand soap was not available in the toilet. The light bulb of the toilet could not be turned offComfort next to the heart of Krakow – Cristian-dan from Romania – December 4, 2023 (10/10)
A cozy and modern apartment located next to the Father Bernatek’s Bridge. A comfortable and quiet place, clean, well heated (we were there in a snowy December). Easy to access, the instructions sent by the owner were very clear. Good restaurants in the area in Kazimierz, just over the bridge, lots of possibilities to eat.
The apartment has everything you need may need: washing machine, dishwasher , coffee machine, oven, microwave, kettle.
Bed was very comfortable, as I said it was very quiet .
Overall an excellent experience and considering the comfort and the location, a place to come back.Large and very comfortable studio apartment in a lively neighborhood. – Room from Portugal – November 15, 2023 (9/10)
Modern building with good security, located just across the river in Podgorze, on a street with lots of eateries and bars. Spacious enough for one or two people, with fast internet and piping hot water. Easy contactless check-in and check-out, and (paid) parking is plentiful in the street out front. Comfy mattress and couch, and a decent amount of kitchenware.
What could be improved: This is a large studio rather than a one-bedroom apartment, meaning that the living and sleeping spaces are separated by a half-wall (no door). This is fine for one person but for a couple going to bed or getting up at different times this might be an issue in terms of light, noise etc. Also, for those looking for a place within walking distance from the old town, this one is about thirty minutes to the Market Square.
