Hotel Description
You know what caught me off guard about Diamonds Apartment? It’s tucked away on Nadwiślańska in Podgórze, and honestly, I wasn’t expecting much from the address alone – but this place absolutely delivers on that 9.4 rating. The moment you step inside, there’s this immediate sense that someone actually cares about the details here. I mean, we’re talking about a proper apartment setup, not some cookie-cutter hotel room where everything’s bolted down and feels sterile.
The location is actually brilliant once you get your bearings. Podgórze used to be this overlooked district across the Vistula from Old Town, but it’s become one of those neighborhoods that locals love precisely because it hasn’t been completely overtaken by tourists yet. You’re literally a pleasant walk across Bernatka footbridge to get to the main action – and that bridge itself is worth the trip, especially in the evening when the lights reflect off the water. What I really appreciated was having Galeria Kazimierz nearby for any shopping needs (or just grabbing groceries without trekking across the city), plus you’re close enough to the Jewish Quarter that you can easily explore Szeroka Street and all those incredible restaurants without dealing with the crowds that swarm the main square.
The apartment itself feels like staying at a friend’s place – if your friend happened to have impeccable taste and actually knew how to set up a space for guests. Everything works properly (which, let’s be honest, isn’t always a given), the Wi-Fi doesn’t cut out every five minutes, and there’s enough space to actually unpack your stuff instead of living out of a suitcase. I particularly loved the kitchen setup – not just some sad mini-fridge and kettle situation, but actual cooking facilities if you want to grab fresh bread from one of the local bakeries and make yourself breakfast. The whole place has this warm, lived-in feeling that you just don’t get in standard hotels, and after spending days walking around Krakow’s cobblestone streets, having a real living room to sprawl out in was perfect.
Parking can be a bit of a puzzle in this area – it’s not impossible, but you might find yourself walking a block or two, which honestly isn’t a big deal considering you’re saving money by staying slightly off the beaten path. The building itself is quiet, even on weekends when you’d expect some noise from people heading to and from the bars in Kazimierz. Check-in was surprisingly smooth too – none of that awkward waiting around in a lobby wondering if your room is actually ready. For the price point and the fact that you get a whole apartment rather than just a room, plus that location that puts you right in the sweet spot between local life and tourist attractions, Diamonds Apartment is one of those finds that makes you feel like you’ve discovered something special in Krakow.

What could be improved: Everything OK!Great location, walking distance , close to good cafes – Olesea from United States – September 25, 2024 (9/10)
Nice modern, close to river, easy to walk to old town. We arrived earlier and host allowed us to store our bags- which we really appreciated, since it was raining hard.
What could be improved: Rooftop access was not available due to dome repairs.
Some kitchen appliances-like microwave or a toaster, and extra utensils besides a spatula would be helpful.Wonderful – Miranda from United Kingdom – August 30, 2024 (9/10)
It was our second stay in the apartment, all was good and I would happily stay there again.

Nice, modern apartment, well equipped. A welcome water, chocolate wafers and a carton of milk in the fridge was a very nice touch. Apartment located in a very nice area, by Vistula River, close to Kazimierz District, number of bars and restaurants are in the building downstairs, underground parking available for a fee, air conditioning unit in the bedroom.
Fabulous apartment – Kevin from United Kingdom – August 12, 2024 (10/10)
Beautiful apartment, short walk distance to Kazimier and old town. Great parking.
What could be improved: NothingExcellent choice for visiting Krakow – David from Romania – June 17, 2024 (10/10)
The location of the building is perfect. Lots of restaurants at the bottom of the building and right next to the busy old town area. Don't be scared by the " 30 min" walk according to google since it's a pleasure to walk that to the old town, tons of things to see. Oh and the views from the 5th floor giant terrace is unreal.
