Here’s the thing about staying on Floriańska though – you’re basically living like a local in one of the best possible spots. Walk five minutes north and you hit the Barbican and Florian Gate (hence the street name), walk five minutes south and you’re people-watching in Rynek Główny. The 7.7 rating makes sense to me; it’s not luxury by any stretch, and some of the fixtures show their age, but for a 3-star place in this location, it delivers exactly what you’d expect. I particularly loved that you could grab fresh bread from the little bakery just down the street in the mornings – that’s the kind of detail that makes a trip memorable. The staff actually knows the neighborhood well too, which isn’t always a given with apartment-style places. They pointed me toward this tiny wine bar tucked into a courtyard that I never would have found otherwise. If you’re looking for something centrally located without paying Old Town hotel premiums, and you don’t need someone turning down your sheets every night, this spot really works.
