Hotel Description
You know what caught me off guard about Floriańska 10 C-D? It’s one of those places that doesn’t try to be flashy, but somehow gets the fundamentals right in a way that makes you want to come back. The building itself sits on Floriańska Street – and if you know Krakow at all, you’ll appreciate that this puts you literally steps from the main square without dealing with the absolute chaos of staying right on it.
The apartments have this lived-in quality that I actually prefer over sterile hotel rooms. Nothing’s brand new or Instagram-perfect, but everything works, and honestly, there’s something refreshing about staying somewhere that feels like an actual home rather than a showroom. The kitchenettes are small but functional – I mean, you’re not going to host a dinner party, but making morning coffee or heating up pierogi from the market down the street? Totally doable. What really sold me was the street-facing windows in some units. Sure, you’ll hear some foot traffic during the day (it’s the Old Town, after all), but by evening things quiet down, and there’s something magical about watching locals head home while tourists are still wandering around with their maps out.
The 7.3 rating makes sense to me – it’s not trying to compete with the luxury places, but for what it is, it delivers. Check-in was surprisingly smooth, though I’d recommend coordinating arrival times since it’s not a traditional hotel setup. Parking is… well, it’s Old Town parking, which means forget about it and embrace walking everywhere. The real advantage here is location knowledge – you’re close enough to duck back for an afternoon nap between sightseeing, but far enough from the main tourist traps that you’ll stumble onto actual neighborhood spots. There’s this little café around the corner that locals frequent, and I probably would have walked right past it if I’d been staying somewhere else. The three-star rating is honest – don’t expect room service or a concierge, but if you’re the type who prefers exploring on your own anyway, this works perfectly as a comfortable base.
Exploring Krakow offers visitors an unforgettable journey through Poland’s medieval heart, from its magnificent Wawel Castle to its bustling Market Square and timeless cultural traditions.
