Fogra Travel Apartment Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to Fogra Travel Apartment on Pawia Street, you’ll notice it sits right in the thick of things — and I mean right in the heart of Old Town Kraków. The building has that classic Polish charm you’d expect from this part of the city, nothing flashy but solid and welcoming. What struck me immediately was how quiet it felt inside despite being surrounded by the buzz of one of Europe’s most visited historic centers. The three-star property doesn’t try to be something it’s not, which honestly feels refreshing after staying in places that oversell themselves.

Location That Actually Matters

Here’s the thing about the location — it’s not just good, it’s almost unfairly perfect. You’re literally steps away from the Main Market Square, close enough that you can pop back to drop off shopping bags or grab a jacket without it being a whole expedition. I could walk to Wawel Castle in about ten minutes, and the Jewish Quarter in Kazimierz was maybe a fifteen-minute stroll. The trams are right there too, which comes in handy if you want to venture beyond the Old Town. What I really appreciated was being able to duck into local cafés that tourists walking from hotels further out never stumble upon.

The Apartment Experience

The apartment itself feels more like staying in a friend’s well-kept place than a typical hotel room. There’s a proper kitchen — not just a mini-fridge and kettle situation — which meant I could grab fresh bread and local cheese from the nearby market and actually enjoy them properly. The space is thoughtfully laid out, with enough room to spread out your stuff without feeling cramped. I particularly liked the windows that let in plenty of natural light, something you don’t always get in Old Town buildings. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly, which matters more than it should when you’re trying to research dinner spots or stay connected.

Practical Comforts

What sets this place apart is how well it handles the little things that can make or break a stay. The shower had proper water pressure — you know how hit-or-miss that can be in historic buildings. There’s decent storage space, and the bed was actually comfortable, not just adequate. The kitchen came stocked with basic essentials, so you’re not hunting around for coffee filters or wondering where they keep the glasses. Air conditioning worked well during my summer visit, though the thick walls kept things naturally cool most of the time anyway.

Why Guests Love It

Couples seem to gravitate toward Fogra Travel Apartment, and I can see why — there’s something romantic about having your own little corner of Kraków’s Old Town without the formality of a big hotel. The combination of that incredible location score and the apartment-style setup gives you the best of both worlds: you’re in the center of everything but you have space to breathe. It’s the kind of place where you can start your day with coffee on your own terms, spend hours exploring the city, then come back and unwind properly. For the price point and what you get, especially considering where you are, it’s honestly hard to beat.

  • Sarah from United Kingdom (9/10)

Lovely host who waited for us to let us in when we arrived very late. She gave us some great local restaurant recommendations and very kindly allowed us to check out late. Communication was clear. Apartment was very clean and had everything we needed for a weekend in Krakow. Great location close to the old town and very good value for money.

  • Alessandro from Switzerland (9/10)

Very comfortable position, near Stare Miasto, clean and good staff.

  • Tessa from Netherlands (9/10)

Location was amazing. Near main train station and big shopping mall, near old city centre, next to shop open 24/7 for basic groceries. We were with five friends and slept divided in two rooms at Westerplatte location. You have to be quite comfortable with each other since there isn't a lot of privacy, but we had a great time! Easy to cook in the kitchen or go out in city centre.
