Friendly Apartments – Krakow Overview
You know what really struck me about Friendly Apartments when I first walked in? It actually lives up to its name – and honestly, that’s rarer than you’d think with accommodation names. The staff genuinely seemed happy to see guests, not just going through the motions like at some places. I mean, with a 9.3 rating, I had high expectations, but this place manages to feel both professional and genuinely welcoming without being overly polished.
The apartment setup is perfect if you’re planning to stay in Krakow for more than just a quick weekend – I’m talking proper kitchenettes where you can actually cook something beyond instant noodles, and living spaces that don’t make you feel like you’re camping in a hotel room. The three-star rating might make you think it’s basic, but honestly, it punches way above its weight. The apartments have this lived-in comfort that’s hard to find, especially in Krakow where so many places either feel like sterile business hotels or overly touristy guesthouses. What I really appreciated was the attention to small details – good shower pressure (seriously, this matters more than people realize), decent Wi-Fi that actually works when you need it, and windows that properly block out the street noise when you want to sleep in.
Being in Krakow, you’re obviously going to spend most of your time exploring the Old Town and probably making the obligatory trip to Wawel Castle, but what’s great about staying at Friendly Apartments is coming back to a space that feels like a temporary home rather than just a place to crash. The neighborhood vibe is authentic Polish residential – you’ll hear families going about their daily routines, smell actual home cooking wafting from other apartments, and get a sense of what it’s like to live in this city rather than just visit it. I found myself chatting with the owner about local restaurants that aren’t in guidebooks, and she pointed me toward this amazing pierogi place that I never would have found otherwise. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward too – none of that awkward standing around waiting for someone to acknowledge you exist. For the price point and the experience you get, especially if you’re staying more than a couple nights, it’s one of those finds that makes you feel like you’ve discovered something special without having to pay premium prices for the privilege.
Krakow’s hotels showcase the perfect blend of Polish royal tradition and modern comfort, with many featuring historical tour services and authentic Polish hospitality.

Mateusz is a very kind and helpful host. He gave us all the necessary directions on how to get the keys and where to park our car. Nice, spacious and comfortable flat with a big balcony equipped with table and chairs. The centre is easy to reach in about 20 min by several trams (3, 24, 13) whose stop is close to the house, about 3 min walk.

The apartment has enough space for a family to stay. There is everything you need. There is a balcony.
It was very hot when we were in Warsaw, so the apartment would need air conditioning.Xander from Belgium (8/10)

I like this flat very much. It's located in a quiet neighborhood, with many utensils in the kitchen and a spacious shower room. Moreover, the landlord is excellent; whenever we have questions, he responds promptly and helps us solve any issues. I highly recommend this lovely and cozy flat to everyone traveling in a group.
