Hotel Description

Look, I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to Habitat Apartments on Sarego Street, I wasn’t expecting much from the outside. It’s tucked into this quiet corner of Old Town where most tourists don’t really wander, which actually turned out to be perfect. You know that feeling when you find a place that’s clearly designed by someone who actually travels? That’s exactly what this is.

The apartments themselves are what I’d call thoughtfully modern – and I mean that in the best way possible. Everything feels intentional without being sterile, if that makes sense. The kitchens are actually functional (I’m talking full-size appliances, decent counter space, knives that cut things), which honestly surprised me after staying in so many places where the “kitchenette” is basically decorative. The living spaces have this nice balance of being stylish enough for Instagram but comfortable enough that you’ll actually want to hang out there after a long day of cobblestone walking. And speaking of cobblestones – the soundproofing is surprisingly good, which matters when you’re this close to the action but still want to sleep past 7 AM.

Here’s what really sold me though: the location is absolutely brilliant, but in a way that’s not immediately obvious. Sarego Street puts you maybe a three-minute walk from the main square, but you’re far enough from Floriańska Street that you don’t get the constant stream of pub crawlers at night. There’s this little bakery around the corner – I think it’s called Krakowski Kredens or something like that – where locals actually go for their morning coffee, not just tourists paying tourist prices. The building itself sits right between the medieval charm you came to Krakow for and actual neighborhood life, which I found way more interesting than being stuck in the dead center where everything closes at midnight and reopens at 10 AM for visitors.

Practically speaking, the staff knows their stuff without being overly formal about it. Check-in was smooth, they had actual recommendations (not just the standard tourist traps), and when I had a question about parking, they sorted it out immediately. The apartments come with all those little things you don’t think about until you need them – good Wi-Fi, proper shower pressure, blackout curtains that actually block light, USB charging ports where you’d expect them to be. It’s clear someone put thought into how people actually live and travel, rather than just what looks good in photos. The whole experience felt less like staying in a hotel and more like borrowing a really well-appointed apartment from a friend who has excellent taste.

Hotels in Krakow offer visitors the opportunity to stay in the heart of this medieval masterpiece, with easy access to castles, churches, and traditional Polish experiences.

Spacious, close to everything and so clean!

    What could be improved: Nothing

  • Mini Break in Krakow – Breda from Ireland – July 26, 2025 (10/10)

Loved the location, walking distance from the castle and market square. It's a beautiful apartment, very clean and comfortable. A lovely cafe next door to it.

What could be improved: The only thing that I could complain about was that the mini fridge didn't keep things very cool. But that was only a small detail. Everything else was perfect.

  • A lovely introduction to Krakow in a stylish and quirky apartment. – Richard from United Kingdom – July 25, 2025 (10/10)

A quirky and stylish apartment, set in an amazing building. It’s close to both the Old Town and Jewish Quarter areas – a great location, with both these areas in walking distance. And there was great communication from the host too.

What could be improved: Not always practical! Bedroom storage for clothes would have been preferable. There is storage upstairs, so a relatively minor issue for short stays.

  • Great room and wonderful location. – Gregory from Australia – July 21, 2025 (10/10)

It is positioned well between the old town and Jewish quarter. Very spacious room. Had everything you needed for a comfortable stay. It exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend staying here. The hostess was more than helpful on our visit.

    What could be improved: Nothing.

  • Good – Victor from Belgium – July 20, 2025 (8/10)

Very big, clean, and comfortable house.

What could be improved: It was hectic to store our bags before the check-in time and after the check-out time.

  • Exceptional – Lara from United Kingdom – July 11, 2025 (10/10)

Great location, very clean, lots of space, they'd really thought about the little things, like corkscrews.

What could be improved: A few broken things in the bathroom, but nothing major.

  • Exceptional – Katie from United Kingdom – July 6, 2025 (10/10)
