You know what caught me off guard about 7 HEAVEN? The name sounds a bit over-the-top, but honestly, when you’re staying right in Kraków’s Old Town and you step outside to those cobblestone streets every morning, it sort of lives up to the hype. I mean, this isn’t some massive chain hotel – it’s more like someone took a historic building and turned it into exactly what you’d want for exploring the city.

The rooms themselves are what I’d call “elegantly simple” – clean lines, decent space (which is actually pretty rare in Old Town), and they’ve clearly put thought into the details without going overboard. What I really appreciated was how quiet it stayed at night, even though you’re literally in the heart of everything. The walls must be pretty solid because I barely heard the late-night revelers stumbling back from the bars around Rynek Główny. Speaking of which, you’re maybe a three-minute walk from the main square – close enough that you can pop back to drop off shopping bags or grab a jacket, but far enough that you’re not dealing with the constant tourist chaos right outside your window.

The 8.5 rating makes total sense to me. It’s not trying to be the fanciest place in town, but it nails what most people actually want – a comfortable base that doesn’t eat your entire budget, leaving you money for all those pierogi and craft beer tastings you came here for. I loved that I could walk to Wawel Castle in about ten minutes, hit up the Jewish Quarter when I wanted something different, and still get back easily after late dinners. The check-in was refreshingly straightforward too – no weird hidden fees or complicated key card systems that never work properly. Just good, honest hospitality from people who seem to actually care about whether you enjoy Kraków. For a three-star place, it punches well above its weight, especially if you’re the type who’d rather spend your day wandering through Planty Park or getting lost in the Cloth Hall than lounging around a hotel lobby.

  Room was warm and clean, location was absolutely ideal, just a short walk to the main square. The only downside was that there was building work going on in the foyer of the building which started fairly early each day. Obviously this isn't the fault of anyone, but it was a little annoying being woken up by drilling and banging 🙁
