Horizon Park Aparthotel Overview
First Impressions
Walking up to Horizon Park Aparthotel on Czarnowiejska Street, you immediately get that “I’m in the real Kraków” feeling. This three-star property sits right in Old Town — and I mean actually in it, not some tourist-brochure version of “near” it. The building has that solid, unpretentious look that tells you it’s more about substance than flash, which honestly turned out to be exactly right.
Location That Actually Matters
Here’s what I love about this spot — you’re genuinely in the heart of everything, but on a street that doesn’t feel like a carnival. Czarnowiejska runs parallel to some of the main tourist drags, so you get all the benefits without the constant noise of rolling suitcases at 6 AM. The Main Market Square is maybe a three-minute walk, Wawel Castle is close enough that you’ll probably end up there twice, and there’s this great little bakery around the corner that locals actually use. You know what really sold me on the location? Couples rate it 9.0 out of 10, and honestly, that makes sense — it’s romantic without being touristy.
The Aparthotel Experience
The room setup here is what makes this place work so well. You’re getting proper apartment accommodations, which means you have space to actually live a bit instead of just sleeping between sightseeing marathons. There’s an kitchenette that’s genuinely useful — not just a mini-fridge and a prayer. I mean, you probably won’t cook elaborate meals, but having the option to make coffee your way or store some local cheese and bread? That’s the difference between feeling like a guest and feeling somewhat at home.
Practical Perks
The breakfast situation is pretty smart, actually. They do vegetarian options (which isn’t always a given in Poland), and here’s something I really appreciated — they offer breakfast to go. Perfect for those days when you want to catch the early light at the castle or beat the crowds somewhere. There’s also a private restaurant area on site, and private parking available, which if you’ve ever tried to park in Kraków’s Old Town, you’ll know is basically like finding buried treasure. Most people won’t need it since everything’s walkable, but it’s there if you’re doing day trips or arriving by car.
Why Guests Love It
With an 8.7 rating and a location score of 9.1, this place clearly gets something right that bigger, fancier hotels sometimes miss. It’s that sweet spot where you’re paying for what actually matters — being where you want to be, having space to breathe, and getting solid basics done well. The staff seems to understand that travelers want to feel settled, not just processed. You’re not getting marble lobbies or rooftop bars, but you are getting a genuine base in one of Europe’s most beautiful cities, and sometimes that’s exactly what you need.
To book a hotel in Krakow during peak medieval festival season, travelers need early planning as this historic capital draws visitors eager to experience its UNESCO World Heritage old town and royal heritage.

The host is a very nice and warm person, helped us with everything, even recommended some things in the city. She has a cheap parking in the backyard which we didn't expect. The room was impeccably clean which is the most important thing.

Reception is absolutely lovely and was very receptive to our schedule. The room is nice and very clean with all of the needed amenities. It is also only a 10 minute walk to the Main Square, so perfect location.
