Look, I’ll be honest – when I first heard “adults only” hotel right on Krakow’s main square, I was expecting something either stuffy or sleazy. Hotel Betmanowska is neither, and actually, it’s kind of perfect if you want to experience the heart of the Old Town without dealing with kids running around the hallways at all hours.

The location is absolutely ridiculous in the best way possible. You’re literally on Rynek Główny – like, you step outside and there’s the Cloth Hall and St. Mary’s Basilica staring you in the face. I mean, most people pay good money just to sit at a café here for an hour, and you’re basically living in it. The thing is, being right on the square means you’ll hear the trumpet call from St. Mary’s every hour (yes, even at night), but honestly? After day two, it becomes this oddly comforting soundtrack. Plus, you’re about thirty seconds from some of the best pierogi in the city – there’s this little place down Grodzka Street that locals actually go to, not just tourists.

What surprised me most was how quiet it gets inside despite all the action outside. They’ve done something right with the windows because once you close them, the street noise pretty much disappears. The rooms have this elegant-but-not-trying-too-hard vibe – think restored historical building that someone actually lives in, not a museum. The staff genuinely knows their stuff too, which you don’t always get at four-star places. They’ll tell you when the square gets crazy crowded (basically any weekend evening and all day during summer festivals) and suggest actual good times to visit Wawel Castle instead of just handing you a generic map.

Here’s what you should know practically speaking – parking is a bit of a nightmare, but that’s true anywhere in the Old Town. They’ll help you figure it out, and there are spots about a ten-minute walk away that won’t break the bank. Check-in was smooth, though if you’re arriving during one of Krakow’s many festivals, definitely call ahead because the whole area turns into controlled chaos. The adults-only thing works really well here because it keeps the atmosphere sophisticated without being uptight – you know what I mean? You can actually have conversations in the common areas and sleep past 7 AM.

The 9.1 rating makes total sense once you’re there. It’s not trying to be the fanciest place in Krakow, but it nails what it’s going for – a genuine Old Town experience without the usual hassles. You’re close enough to walk everywhere that matters (Kazimierz district is maybe fifteen minutes on foot), but far enough from Floriańska Street to avoid the worst tourist crowds. If you’re the type who wants to grab morning coffee and pastries from the vendors setting up in the square before most visitors even wake up, this is your spot.

  The location was amazing right on the main square in the old town. It was a hive of activity outside but quiet and relaxing in the hotel.
  The rooms were beautiful with everything you need and some extras including free Prosecco on arrival.
  Breakfast was a continental buffet with lots of choice including a cooked breakfast if wanted.

  The location is excellent — right in the heart of Kraków.
  All the main attractions are just a short walk away, with plenty of restaurants and coffee shops nearby. Truly the best possible location, with an unforgettable view!
  
  What could be improved: Honestly, I liked everything about my stay. The front desk staff were very kind and helpful. I arrived a bit early, and since my room was ready, they allowed me to check in ahead of time — which I really appreciated.
  
  The room itself was a bit small, but the view was absolutely stunning.
  The only thing I’d suggest is adding more variety to the breakfast options.

  I would like to point how nice staff were there! OMG very chatty, helpful and so kind. Giving all needed informations. We wre worried about Jacuzzi, if will be clean… You never know.. But room was spotless clean, jacuzzi was super clean. Beds was like they said – you sleeping like on cloud 😉 Extra we got little welcome gift 🙂 I already dream to come back to you 🙂 Food was amazing, so tasty and fancy.

  This hotel is in an excellent location and the room and breakfast were both great. The staff were very nice and the room was always well stocked and very clean with plenty fresh towels etc. The staff on reception were great too and everything was very well organised. We requested twin beds in one of the rooms and cars to and from the airport. The drivers were very helpful. We had an excellent stay and would highly recommend this hotel and the transport etc.

  A great hotel in a central location. The suite was clean and there were lots of room amenities. We had two spa baths and four stocked fridges. All items in the fridge were free. We were welcomed with a fruit platter and a bottle of Prosecco too. I would highly recommend this hotel.
