There’s this perfect balance of modern comfort without trying too hard to be trendy, if that makes sense. The front desk staff – and I mean this genuinely – seem to actually care about what they’re doing, which is rarer than it should be.

What really won me over was how they handle the little things that can make or break a stay. The rooms are thoughtfully laid out (finally, enough outlets near the bed!), and the blackout curtains actually work – I’m talking pitch black, which any light-sensitive traveler will appreciate. The bathroom setup is smart too, with good water pressure and those rainfall showerheads that don’t feel gimmicky. I stayed on the third floor and it was surprisingly quiet, even with windows cracked open at night. The bed situation is solid – not too firm, not too soft, and pillows that don’t deflate the moment your head hits them.

The breakfast spread deserves a mention because it goes beyond the usual continental fare without being pretentious about it. Fresh pastries that taste like they were actually baked that morning, decent coffee (not great, but definitely drinkable), and they rotate the hot options enough that you won’t get bored if you’re staying multiple nights. Check-in was smooth – no weird upselling attempts or hidden fees sprung on you at the last minute. Parking is straightforward too, which honestly shouldn’t be noteworthy but somehow always is.
