You know what caught me off guard about Hotel Swing? The name actually makes sense once you’re there – there’s this subtle jazz vibe running through the whole place that I wasn’t expecting from a 4-star property. I mean, it’s not like they’re blasting Miles Davis in the lobby or anything, but the design has these smooth, curved lines and warm brass accents that honestly remind you of a really well-designed jazz club.

The thing is, this place gets an 8.4 rating and I can see why. It’s one of those hotels that doesn’t try too hard but gets the important stuff right. The rooms are actually spacious (and I’m talking about real space, not that “efficiently designed” nonsense), and whoever picked out the bedding knew what they were doing – I slept better there than I have in some 5-star places. The bathrooms have this interesting tile work that feels custom rather than picked from a catalog, though I’ll be honest, the water pressure could be a touch stronger. Check-in was smooth, maybe 5 minutes tops, and the front desk staff seemed like they’d actually been trained to solve problems instead of just smile and nod.

What really sold me on Hotel Swing was the attention to details that most places overlook. The hallways are surprisingly quiet – you know how some hotels have that echo-y feel where you hear every door slam? Not here. They’ve got this thick carpeting that actually dampens sound, and the walls must have decent insulation because I never heard my neighbors. The lighting throughout is warm rather than those harsh fluorescents that make everyone look like zombies, and there are these little seating nooks tucked into corners where you could actually sit and read without feeling like you’re in someone’s way. Parking was straightforward too – they’ve got their own lot, which saved me from driving around looking for street spots. Honestly, it’s the kind of place where someone clearly thought through what business travelers and weekend visitors actually need, rather than what looks good in photos. I’d definitely stay here again, especially since it hits that sweet spot of being comfortable without feeling stuffy or overly formal.

  Aqua park is right next to the hotel, that’s the biggest advantage, fairly good hotel facilities, clean and good selection of food for breakfast however they didn’t have porridge. WiFi was also good.
