You know what really struck me about Hotel Teatr? The name isn’t just some random choice – this place actually has theatrical bones, and you can feel it the moment you walk in. There’s something almost dramatic about the lobby design, with these rich, deep colors and lighting that makes you feel like you’re stepping into a really well-designed stage set. I mean, it’s not over-the-top Broadway flashy, but there’s definitely an artistic sensibility here that sets it apart from your typical business hotel.

The 4-star rating feels honest – this isn’t trying to be some ultra-luxury palace, but honestly, with a 9.4 guest rating, they’re clearly doing something right. The rooms have this comfortable, lived-in elegance that I really appreciate. You’ll find thoughtful touches like actually good reading lights (thank god) and windows that open properly, which is rarer than it should be these days. The beds are genuinely comfortable too – not just hotel-marketing comfortable, but the kind where you actually sleep well and don’t wake up with a crick in your neck. I stayed on the third floor and it was surprisingly quiet, even though you’re right in the heart of things.

What really won me over, though, was the staff’s approach. They’re helpful without being hovering, and they seem to actually know their neighborhood well – not just the obvious tourist spots, but places where locals go for coffee or where you can find a decent late-night bite. The whole place has this relaxed confidence about it, like they know they’re good at what they do without needing to constantly prove it. Check-in was smooth (they had my room ready early, which saved my travel-weary soul), and the front desk actually remembered my name by the second day, which honestly surprised me. It’s the kind of place where you feel like a guest rather than just another room number, if that makes sense.

  Rooms were lovely and clean evey day, beds was so comfortable and coffee machine was a nice touch, staff were good and helpful especially the man on our last day 10/02/25 he was top class, went out of his was to make everything the way it should be👌
