Hotel Yarden by Artery Hotels Overview
Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much from Hotel Yarden when I first walked up to it on Długa Street – I mean, it’s tucked into this historic building that looks pretty modest from the outside. But you know what? Sometimes the best places are the ones that don’t scream for attention. The lobby hit me with this warm, contemporary vibe that felt refreshingly unpretentious, and the staff actually seemed genuinely happy to see guests arrive (which, if you’ve traveled enough, you’ll know isn’t always a given).
What really sold me on this place was the location – and I don’t mean that in the generic “convenient location” way that every hotel claims. I’m talking about being able to roll out of bed and grab pierogi from that little spot around the corner on Floriańska, or walking two minutes to hit the morning flower market in the main square before the tour groups descend. The rooms themselves are what I’d call smart-sized rather than cramped, with these surprisingly comfortable beds and blackout curtains that actually work (trust me, you’ll appreciate this when the summer sun starts streaming in at 5 AM). The bathrooms are compact but well-designed – everything you need without feeling like you’re showering in a closet.
Here’s the thing about staying in Krakow’s Old Town though – you’re going to hear some street noise, especially on weekends when the bars on Szewska get lively. But honestly, that’s part of the charm, and the double-glazed windows at Yarden do a decent job of keeping things manageable. I actually loved falling asleep to the distant sounds of the city winding down. The hotel doesn’t have a restaurant, but with Wierzynek and Pod Aniołami literally around the corner (plus about fifty other incredible spots within a five-minute walk), you’d be crazy to eat hotel food anyway. What they do have is this little coffee setup in the lobby that’s perfect for those early mornings when you want to caffeinate before heading out to beat the crowds at Wawel Castle. The whole experience just felt… right, you know? Not trying too hard to be fancy, but getting all the important stuff spot-on. For a 3-star place, it punches well above its weight class.

What could be improved: Lift was not working and we got stuck twice . Got a bit scaredGreat staff and a great room! – Mcconnnell from United States – July 22, 2025 (8/10)
The staff was so helpful and the property provided us luggage storage and a great place to stay between a super early train arrival and a tour that started hours later even before we checked in.
Excellent location. Tram stops right outside the hotel. – Stefan from United Kingdom – June 29, 2025 (8/10)
Very helpful staff. Excellent choice of breakfast items
Great value for a large group booking – Amber from United Kingdom – June 27, 2025 (8/10)

What could be improved: Beautiful rooms with balcony ,only one negative that we booked 3 rooms for families and we get room on 3 floors and not together.Decent option but could be spruced up a bit. – Stuart from United Kingdom – June 26, 2025 (7/10)
Great location, free taxi from the airport, nice staff.
What could be improved: Needed spruced up, shower door fell off at one point and breakfast was chaotic.Very Good – Gayathri from Austria – June 16, 2025 (8/10)
Location was excellent. Room was also very comfortable.
It’s a good hotel with convenient location, polite staff, with quick questions solving and tasty breakfast – Olha from Ukraine – May 13, 2025 (8/10)
The location of the hotel is very good. 20 minutes by walk from the Railway station and 20 minutes by walk to the Old City.
There are the polite staff. Breakfast is pretty good. Various food for every wish. They have a little parking. The room on the yard side is quiet. We have had a question with towels. They brought us additional towels quickly. The hair dryer didn’t work in our room. The specialist went in and changed it.
What could be improved: They have a small parking and the entry to the parking is very narrow. If your room will be on the road side, be ready to hear sounds of the street and trams on there. And the bright lights will go to your room.Clean place at a great location. – Diego from United States – May 12, 2025 (9/10)
The location is excellent.
What could be improved: The place was great. Only thing was that the shower head kept sliding down but it was nothing serious.
