You know what struck me first about the Irish Apartment? The name’s actually pretty spot-on – there’s something genuinely cozy and unpretentious about this place that reminds you of a well-kept Dublin flat, but with that distinctly Central European charm that makes Krakow so addictive. Located right on Bocheńska Street, you’re literally a five-minute walk from the main square, but here’s the thing – you’re just far enough off the main tourist drag that you won’t be dealing with hen parties stumbling past your windows at 2 AM.

The building itself has that beautiful old Krakow character (I mean, what doesn’t in this neighborhood?), and honestly, the apartment feels more like staying at a friend’s place than a typical hotel setup. The 4-star rating feels about right – it’s not trying to be the Ritz, but everything works properly and there’s actual attention to detail. I particularly appreciated that they’ve managed to keep the historic feel without sacrificing modern conveniences. The wifi actually works, the shower has decent pressure, and – this matters more than you’d think – the windows are properly insulated so you can sleep without earplugs. The whole area gets pretty lively during festival season (which, let’s be honest, is most of the summer in Krakow), but the street itself stays relatively quiet.

What really sold me on this place was the location knowledge you get just by staying here. Your host will probably tell you about the little café around the corner on Grodzka Street that locals actually use, not just the tourist traps everyone recommends. And parking – if you’re driving, which I wouldn’t necessarily recommend in Old Town but sometimes you need to – there are actually options nearby that won’t cost you a fortune. The 7.9 rating makes sense to me; it’s solidly good without being perfect. I noticed a few minor things (the kitchen could use one more good pan, and the bathroom lighting is a bit dim), but nothing that would stop me from booking again. Actually, I think that’s what I liked most about it – it felt authentic rather than polished to death. You’re staying in someone’s carefully maintained home in one of Europe’s most beautiful old towns, and that’s exactly what it delivers.

  It has two separate bedrooms. Fully equipped kitchen. Super clean and quite big. It is in great location. Cafe, restaurants and mini Market close by. Walking distance from Old town. It has a living room with a very comfy couch which is great for rest. High-speed Internet too.
  
  What could be improved: I didn't like that it was on the 4th floor with no elevator. On the first days of our vacation it wasn't a problem, but afterwards when your feet are tired from walking around museums and old town, it was a bit tiring.

  Świetna lokalizacja, można sobie blisko zaparkować, dużo knajp w okolicy, blisko na rynek.
  W mieszkaniu też jest klimatyzacja – akurat jak byłam to nie korzystałam, ale fajnie że jest.
  W mieszkaniu są wszystkie potrzebne rzeczy, jest dużo miejsca.

  L'emplacement est parfait, le salon et cuisine sont parfaits, la salle de bain optimale et très propre et il y a une belle chambre sur 2.
  
  What could be improved: Les 2 lits sont vraiment pas du tout confortables, les matelas sont trop fins, le sommier grince en bougeant à peine et le pire c'est le matelas qui se creuse au milieu facilement et qui tue le dos. Impossible de bien dormir dessus et les oreillers sont minuscules mais ce n'est pas grand chose face à la désillusion du matelas.
