Honestly, when I first saw the name “Iron Street by A11 Sauna,” I wasn’t quite sure what to expect – but this place turned out to be one of those happy surprises that makes you feel like you’ve discovered something special in Krakow’s Old Town. Tucked away on Kątowa Street (which, by the way, locals actually call “Corner Street” if you need to ask for directions), it’s literally a two-minute walk from the main square but feels worlds away from the tourist chaos.

What struck me immediately was how they’ve managed to blend that historic Krakow character with genuinely modern comfort. The building itself has that weathered stone facade you’d expect in this part of town, but step inside and you’re dealing with proper heating, solid Wi-Fi, and – here’s the kicker – an actual sauna that’s not just some afterthought in the basement. I mean, it’s right there in the name for a reason. The rooms are what I’d call “thoughtfully minimal” – not sparse, just uncluttered in a way that makes you realize how much junk most hotels cram into their spaces. The windows are properly insulated too, which matters more than you’d think when you’re this close to the square and all those late-night revelers stumbling back to their hostels.

You know what really sold me on this place though? The staff actually knows the neighborhood. Not just the obvious tourist spots, but where to grab the best oscypek (that smoked cheese you’ll see everywhere) or which entrance to use for Wawel Castle when the main gates are packed. Plus, they’re honest about timing – like how the square gets absolutely mental between 11 AM and 2 PM, so if you want those Instagram shots without crowds, go early or wait until evening. Parking’s a bit of a puzzle in this area (I ended up using a lot about five blocks away), but they’ll point you toward the spots that won’t break the bank. The whole experience just feels… well, like someone actually thought about what travelers need instead of what looks good in promotional photos. With a 9-star rating, clearly other people have figured this out too – I’d definitely come back next time I’m in Krakow.

  The apartment was very clean and it was the same view as the photo suggests. There were many facilities. We had kettle/ cooker/ dishwasher/ hair dryer. Like everything u need for a comfortable stay!

  A new house with a lot of appartments, all newly furnished and has has everything a traveller might need, even a dishwasher.. Quite spacious. Comfortable bed.
  Easy to walk or ride to the Old city, or to deive anywhere you need.

  If you are supersticious- there is a cemetary on the other side of the road.
