Hotel Description
I’ll be honest – when I first walked up to 19 Świętego Wawrzyńca, I almost missed it. The entrance is tucked into this gorgeous old building that looks like it’s been watching over the Jewish Quarter for centuries, and there’s something really satisfying about staying somewhere that feels this authentically Krakow rather than in some generic hotel chain. You know what I mean? The kind of place where you actually feel like you’re experiencing the city, not just sleeping in it.
The apartments themselves are what really won me over though. Whoever designed these spaces actually gets how people travel – there’s proper counter space in the kitchenette (I can’t tell you how many “apartment-style” places I’ve stayed in where you can barely fit a coffee cup), and the beds are the kind where you wake up actually rested instead of feeling like you wrestled with the mattress all night. The whole setup feels more like borrowing a friend’s well-appointed flat than staying in tourist accommodation. And honestly, being right in the heart of Kazimierz means you’re literally steps from Szeroka Square – I could hear the gentle buzz of café conversations drifting up in the evenings, but it never felt intrusive or too loud.
What struck me most was how the place manages to balance that historic Krakow charm with actually functional modern living. The windows are these beautiful old frames that look out onto streets that have probably looked roughly the same for a couple hundred years, but the WiFi works perfectly and the shower has proper water pressure (trust me, this matters more than you think when you’re staying somewhere for more than a night or two). I found myself spending more time than usual just hanging out in the apartment rather than treating it as just a place to crash – maybe it was the way the afternoon light came through those windows, or how quiet it got in the mornings before the quarter really woke up. The walk to the main square takes maybe eight minutes if you’re dawdling, and you pass some of the best pierogi spots in the city along the way. I mean, there’s something to be said for staying somewhere that puts you right in the middle of things without feeling like you’re trapped in the tourist circus.

Reviews
Excelent apartment. Highly recommend. – Simon from United Kingdom – May 10, 2025 (9/10)
The location was on the edge of the Jewish Quarter. That meant we were right next to everything but had no noise at night. Not that the area is noisy to start with.
What could be improved: The only real annoyance was the fan in the apartment was broken. Other than that, everything was great.Great time in a very nice city – V from Romania – April 19, 2025 (10/10)
Modern apartment
Good equipped kitchen
Wifi
Big bathroom
What could be improved: Thin walls (seems like a former large appartment being split in 2)
No coffee machineExceptional – Iryna from Ukraine – March 29, 2025 (10/10)
Lovely loft-style apartment for 2-3 people in an old building of a former factory. Excellent combination of rental price and class of apartment.
Spacious, clean, has all appliances, beautiful view on the patio!!!!
Great location, close to food market, restaurants, close to transportation.
Special thanks to Stan, he graciously helped with all questions!!!Great place in city center, very clean and cozy. Recommend – Oleh from Ukraine – October 30, 2024 (10/10)
Great location, big bathroom and many appliances
What could be improved: —Exceptional – Charlotte from United Kingdom – October 2, 2024 (10/10)
Fantastic location and facilities, 10+ for cleanliness of the apartment
What could be improved: A little short on glasses for drinking, everything else was perfectGreat apartment in an awesome location, loved it! – Scott from New Zealand – September 14, 2024 (10/10)
It’s in a nice apartment block with secure gates so the property feels safe. It is also right on the border of the historic Jewish quarter and is o lot about a 15 minute walk to the old town and other great tourist locations.
What could be improved: I didn’t really think there was anything wrong with the property, if I had to find something it was no air conditioning but that wasn’t a big deal!Exceptional – Yifat from Israel – September 11, 2024 (10/10)
Centrally located, clean and well equipped apartment.
What could be improved: The apartment is divided to two apartments with two separate doors. You can easily hear the noises from the other apartment, however it didn't bother me.Next time we come back this is no.1 place we’d stay. – Bridie from United Kingdom – May 16, 2024 (10/10)
The property was in a great location, across the road from some great food vans, a 5 minute walk to the old town or 20 minute walk to the main square with plenty of access to trams. The rooms were absolutely spotless and the whole flat was gorgeous. Massive thanks to the owner as well for letting us check in a little earlier.
What could be improved: It was a little warm but this is due to the sun as heating wasn’t on so can’t be helped and big windows to counteract it.Lovely, cosy apartment. – Eliza from United Kingdom – June 21, 2023 (9/10)
Mostly everything was great. Modern, nicely finished apartment in the best location. Kitchen, bathroom and living room had all necessary appliances. Our host was very quick to answer. We would love to stay there again.
What could be improved: Little bit hot in the summer, air conditioning would be nice upgrade, but we were mostly out so not a big problem.Great apartment – Karolina from Netherlands – February 19, 2023 (10/10)
Mostly everything was great. Very nicely finished apartment in the best location. Kitchen, bathroom and living room had all necessary appliances. Smart TV available.
What could be improved: The bed was comfy but quite small and there are no bedside tables (could be a nice improvement). Not a major issue, though.
