Julia Apartments Rakowicka – Old Town Overview
You know what? I wasn’t expecting much when I first spotted Julia Apartments Rakowicka tucked away in this quiet corner near Old Town. I mean, 3-star apartment hotels can be hit or miss, right? But honestly, this place completely surprised me – and that 9.8 rating suddenly made perfect sense after spending a few days there.
The thing about staying here is that you actually feel like you’re living in Krakow, not just visiting it. The apartments have this lived-in quality that’s somehow both homey and clean – real kitchens where you can actually cook (not those sad little kitchenettes with a hot plate), proper living spaces where you can spread out your stuff, and bedrooms that don’t feel like afterthoughts. I loved waking up and making coffee in my own little kitchen while planning the day, then walking just a few minutes to hit the main tourist areas. The Old Town is right there, but you’re far enough away that you’re not dealing with the constant stream of tour groups and street performers outside your window at all hours. Actually, it’s remarkably quiet for being so central – I think because it’s on one of those residential streets that locals use but tourists don’t really discover.
What really sold me on the place was all the small stuff that shows someone actually cares about the guest experience. The Wi-Fi doesn’t mysteriously cut out every twenty minutes like so many places I’ve stayed. The shower has proper water pressure – I know that sounds basic, but you’d be amazed how many European apartments get this wrong. And the beds… well, let’s just say I slept better there than I do at home most nights. The whole check-in process was refreshingly straightforward too, none of that awkward standing around wondering if you’re in the right place. There’s this genuine attention to detail that you just don’t see much anymore, especially at this price point. I mean, they even had decent coffee (not that powdered stuff), and the kitchens come stocked with actual useful things like cutting boards that aren’t falling apart and pots that don’t have wobbly handles. It’s those little touches that make you realize why this place scores so ridiculously high with guests – people notice when someone actually thinks about their comfort instead of just checking boxes on a hospitality checklist.
Krakow hotels provide guests with luxurious accommodations in Poland’s cultural capital, known for its perfectly preserved medieval architecture and rich royal history.

This property was spotless and in a beautiful part of the city, not far from the train/bus station so an easy walk into the centre. It had a gorgeous balcony which we made use of in the evenings and it was very modern, small as it was a studio but loads of storage space. It felt very safe and we would definitely stay again!
