Hotel Description
You know what hit me first about Katie’s place? It’s not really a hotel at all – it’s this perfectly curated apartment tucked away on Czarnowiejska, and honestly, that’s exactly what makes it special. I mean, you’re staying in someone’s actual home in one of Krakow’s quieter neighborhoods, about a 15-minute walk from the chaos of the Old Town. Katie clearly put thought into every detail here, from the way the morning light streams through those big windows to the fact that there’s actually good coffee in the kitchen (not that instant stuff you usually find).
The location is sort of genius, actually. Czarnowiejska runs parallel to the main tourist drag, but it feels like you’ve discovered some local secret. There’s this little bakery two blocks down that does these incredible obwarzanki – those twisted bread rings you see everywhere in Krakow – and I found myself walking there every morning just because I could. The trams run right at the end of the street, so getting to Wawel Castle or the Jewish Quarter is dead simple, but when you come home at night, you’re stepping into this quiet residential bubble where locals are walking their dogs and the only sounds are footsteps on cobblestones. The building itself has that solid, pre-war feel – thick walls that actually keep noise out, unlike some of these converted hostels in the center.
What really gets me about this place is how Katie’s managed to nail that sweet spot between feeling like a local and having everything you actually need as a traveler. The apartment’s got this lived-in warmth – books on the shelves, plants that are clearly thriving, artwork that isn’t just generic hotel prints. But then you open the wardrobe and find extra blankets, the WiFi actually works everywhere (even the bathroom, not that I tested it extensively), and there’s a whole drawer of adapters and chargers for every device imaginable. I stayed there in early November when Krakow gets that damp chill, and the heating was perfect – not that stuffy, overheated feeling you get in some places, just consistently comfortable. The kitchen’s actually functional too, which is rare – I made pierogi from scratch one evening (there’s a proper rolling pin and everything), though honestly, with so many incredible restaurants within walking distance, cooking felt almost wasteful. The 9.8 rating makes complete sense once you’re there – it’s not flashy or Instagram-perfect, but every single thing works exactly as it should, and Katie responds to messages faster than most of my friends do.
Hotels in Krakow offer visitors the opportunity to stay in the heart of this medieval masterpiece, with easy access to castles, churches, and traditional Polish experiences.

What could be improved: ?The most perfect place – Justyna from United Kingdom – June 16, 2025 (10/10)
The apartment is so nicely decorated, beds extremely comfortable, everything you’d need in the kitchen provided. The fresh flowers and sweets was a lovely touch. This is a perfect place to stay, shops, cafe, milk bar close by, nearest bus stop is a minute away. Air con was a bonus as it was quite hot when we stayed. We loved everything!

Amazing choice to enjoy Krakow spirit – Taras from Ukraine – April 28, 2025 (10/10)
Katie’s apartment is an amazingly well-balanced option to stay in Krakow. Building with a history, but apartment is modern and well equipped. Minimalism and practicality compliments notes of art in design of the interior. We enjoyed every second being there.

L'alloggio è perfetto, non solo è bello dal punto di vista estetico ma è anche funzionale. L'appartamento è molto pulito e moderno, il check-in è semplice, così come la comunicazione con l'host. Lo consigliamo vivamente.

W porownianiu do 5 gwiazdkowego hotelu Intercontinental w Warszawie ten apartament jest o niebo lepszy. Najlepszy apartament jaki mi się trafił w ostatnich latach. Bardzo zadbany, czysty, przemyślany do drobnych szczegółów. Wszystko jest : pralka, zmywarka, żelazko, deska do orasowania, suszarka do włosów, ekspres do kawy Nespreso z kapsułkami, śmietanką, herbata, zestaw naczyń, nawet korkociąg. Kapsułki do prania i zmywarki, zestaw kosmetyków, nawet jednorazowe szczotki i pasta do zębów.
Bardzo wygodne łóżka, nie kanapa! Prawdziwe komfortowe materace i pościel. Dodatkowe koce. Wszystko działa bez zarzutu, Wszystko nowe i czyste. Klimatyzacja!
Napewno wrócę nie raz.Geweldig – Myra from Netherlands – August 5, 2025 (10/10)
