Look, I’ve stayed in my fair share of Krakow apartments, and this little gem on Wietora really caught me off guard. You know when you’re expecting something decent but not spectacular, and then you walk in and think “oh, this is actually pretty great”? That’s exactly what happened here. The building itself is one of those classic Old Town structures – you know, the kind where you’re climbing up narrow stairs wondering if your suitcase is going to fit around the corners – but once you get inside apartment 25, it’s like someone waved a magic wand.

What I really appreciated was how they managed to keep that authentic Krakow character without making you feel like you’re camping. The windows actually open properly (honestly, you’d be surprised how many places get this wrong), and you can hear just enough of the Old Town bustle to feel connected but not so much that you’re up all night. I mean, you’re basically a five-minute walk from the main square, so there’s going to be some life happening outside, but it’s the good kind of background noise. The kitchen setup is what really sold me though – whoever designed this space actually cooks, because everything you need is exactly where it should be. There’s proper counter space, decent knives, and the coffee maker doesn’t look like it survived three wars.

Here’s the thing about staying in Kazimierz area – and locals will tell you this – you’re getting the best of both worlds. You’ve got the historic charm of Old Town right there, but you’re also close enough to the actual Kazimierz district to pop over for dinner without taking a tram. The little grocery shop downstairs stays open late (trust me, this matters more than you think), and there’s this bakery about two blocks down Wietora that does these incredible zapiekanka that’ll ruin you for all other late-night snacks. Parking was… well, it’s Old Town, so manage your expectations, but there are spots if you’re patient and maybe willing to walk a few blocks. The owners were pretty helpful with directions though – they actually live in the area, which you can tell because their recommendations weren’t just the tourist obvious stuff. Check-in was smooth, none of that awkward “meet me at this random corner with cash” situation you sometimes get with apartment rentals. They’ve got the process down to a science, but in a personal way, not corporate-feeling. If I’m being completely honest, the shower pressure could be a bit stronger, but the hot water lasts forever and the bathroom stays warm, so I’m not complaining too loudly.

  Exceptionally clean. Excellent quiet location. Air conditioning worked brilliantly as we were there during the heatwave. Close to supermarkets and many excellent restaurants. Kitchen was very well equipped and looked like new. Tram station around the corner. Easy 10min walk into the centre of Kazimierz. 25min walk to krakow old town. Brilliant communication from host. Easy check in (and we were able to leave bags early) and out. Comfortable bed and loads of extra pillows in the cupboard. Outside space was a huge bonus. Lovely to sit out and watch the sunset in an evening. 10/10

  There are as many previous guests mentioned a lot of steps up to the property. This was zero problem for us, but it would be advisable to make this clear on the listing for future guests who may not read reviews.
