The apartment is tucked away on a quieter street (thank god), so you’re not dealing with the weekend party crowds stumbling past your window at 3 AM, but you’re still close enough to walk to Plac Nowy in about five minutes. That’s where all the food trucks gather, by the way – definitely hit up the zapiekanka stands.

What really sold me on this place, though, was stepping into that jacuzzi after spending the day wandering around the cobblestone streets. Your feet will thank you, trust me. The whole setup is surprisingly well thought out – the bathroom actually has proper ventilation (you’d be amazed how many places get this wrong), and there’s enough space to move around without bumping into everything. The studio itself feels bigger than most places in this area, probably because they didn’t try to cram in unnecessary furniture. There’s a decent kitchenette if you want to grab some bread and cheese from the market on Szeroka Street, though honestly, with all the restaurants around here, I barely used it. The bed was comfortable enough – not luxury hotel level, but I slept well, and the blackout curtains actually work, which is more than I can say for half the places I’ve stayed.

Here’s the thing about staying in Kazimierz – you’re getting the real Krakow experience without the Old Town tourist markup. The locals still hang out here, especially around the smaller bars that don’t have English menus yet. Plus, you’re a easy 15-minute walk to the main square when you want to do the castle and cloth hall thing, but you can escape back to somewhere that feels more like a neighborhood. The 8.9 rating makes total sense to me – it’s not trying to be something it’s not, just a solid, clean place with that jacuzzi bonus that makes all the difference after a long day of sightseeing. Fair warning though: if you’re here during summer or around Christmas, book early because good spots in this area fill up fast, and you really don’t want to end up in one of those sterile apartments closer to the train station.
