Kolory Guest House Overview
You know what caught me off guard about Kolory Guest House? The name actually makes sense once you walk through the front door. I was expecting something pretty standard for a 3-star place, but honestly, whoever designed this spot has a real eye for color – there are these gorgeous accent walls in deep blues and warm oranges that somehow don’t clash at all. It feels more like staying at a friend’s well-decorated apartment than your typical budget hotel.
The thing is, this place punches way above its weight class. That 8.9 rating isn’t just inflated reviews from people’s relatives – I mean, you can tell when a place actually earns those scores. The rooms are compact but thoughtfully laid out, and the beds are surprisingly comfortable (I’m picky about mattresses, so that’s saying something). What really sold me was the attention to small details – good reading lights by the bed, actually functional WiFi, and outlets positioned where you’d actually want to plug things in. The bathroom’s nothing fancy, but the water pressure’s solid and it stays hot, which is more than I can say for some places charging twice as much.
The staff here genuinely seems to care, which you don’t always get at smaller properties. Check-in was smooth, and when I mentioned I was hoping to explore the area on foot, the woman at reception pulled out this hand-drawn map with her personal recommendations scribbled on it – not the usual tourist trap suggestions either. Parking’s pretty straightforward if you’re driving, though the street can get a bit busy during morning rush hour. I’d say the only real downside is that sound carries a bit between rooms, so if you’re a super light sleeper, maybe pack earplugs. But honestly, the neighborhood itself is pretty quiet most evenings. I stayed there during what felt like a busy period and still managed to sleep well most nights. For the price point, you’re getting a lot more personality and care than those cookie-cutter chain hotels, and sometimes that personal touch makes all the difference in how a trip feels.

I am staying second time with my mom and my little dog 🐶 and we are very happy. This is my favorite place to stay in Krakow. Very close to the center, to the everything, perfect location, and very good owner, very good attention to the clients.

The apartment was comfortable, well equipped (towells, shower shampoo, soap, dishes…), full of instictive art. At the beginnig there was quite cold, but AC warm up the space in few minutes. Good location, nice interior and balcony (the flat was turned into quite inner countryyard). It was lovely to stay here.

Excellent location, close to numerous Bars and Restaurants. They let us stay on until our flight was due, free of charge. Fabulous service.

Lovely place to stay, really centrally located with lots of restaurants/bars and we felt cosy and safe. We arrived at 2am due to a late flight but the hosts were well-organised and we were able to check in easily

It was great , everything was perfect. everything you need was already there, even coffee, tea, sugar in the room. Some books in different languages

Great location, easy communication. I could leave my luggage before and after my stay. Cleanliness was on point and so was the right amount of towels. Air con was a great thing to have in the room, as it was warm outside when I arrived. I was aware of the noises from the outside so it wasn’t a con for me.

I stayed here for five days and it was wonderful. I saw other reviews say that there was noise from the square at night so I purposefully asked for a room facing the back (which they were happy to accommodate). I had no trouble with noise at all and the square seemed pretty calm in any case (perhaps because it rained a lot!) The room was basic and not particularly spacious (though certainly enough for me). The room was spotlessly clean and had everything you could need (kettle, tea, coffee, towels, hairdryer). I love the old world and quirky vibes of the place, it felt like staying in a piece of history. They also had the heating on when it was raining and it felt like coming back to a warm home! The location is superb – nestled among cafes and restaurants, with all sights within walking distance. Communication with the owners was excellent – they texted me about the door code when it changed and helped me when I locked myself out. They are pretty hands off and you feel that everything just sort of ticks over by itself.

The whole property was nice and had the polish feel around it which was fantastic

Lovely old world charm. Spotlessly clean and a fantastic location. I had a lovely second floor double room with a view of Plac Nowy.

It’s located in the heart of Kazimierz district in the city centre. Close to all major attractions on foot. The air conditioning in the room was great in the hot days. My room was very comfortable and quiet as it was facing the back. I recommend this place 🤗
