Look, I’ve stayed in plenty of apartments around Kraków, but this Rentujemy place near Bagry actually surprised me. When I first heard “Bagry,” I wasn’t sure what to expect – I mean, it’s not exactly the Old Town postcard view everyone talks about. But honestly? That turned out to be exactly why I loved it.

The apartment sits in this quieter residential area that feels more like where actual Cracovians live, you know? You’re close enough to Bagry Lake that you can walk there in maybe ten minutes – and trust me, that’s something most tourists never discover. The lake’s got this whole recreational area that locals use for swimming and barbecues, especially during summer evenings when the city center gets absolutely packed with tour groups. Having dedicated parking was clutch too, because anyone who’s tried to find a spot near the main square knows that nightmare. The balcony overlooks the neighborhood in a way that’s actually peaceful – no tram bells clanging at 6 AM like you get closer to the center.

What really sold me was the workspace setup. I mean, they clearly thought about people who need to get actual work done, not just those Instagram vacation shots. The desk has proper lighting and enough space to spread out, plus the WiFi actually works consistently (shocking, I know). The whole place feels like someone’s thoughtfully designed home rather than a generic rental – there’s this attention to small details that you notice after a day or two. Like, the kitchen has everything you’d actually need to cook a proper meal, not just a sad mini-fridge and a broken coffee maker. The bathroom has decent water pressure, which honestly can be hit-or-miss in older Kraków buildings. And the whole apartment stays surprisingly quiet even though you’re in a residential area with families and daily life happening around you.

You know what really struck me? This location gives you the best of both worlds. You can hop on public transport and be in Wawel Castle or the Jewish Quarter in maybe 20 minutes, but when you come home, you’re not dealing with the chaos of drunk bachelor parties stumbling past your window at 2 AM. Bagry area has this almost suburban feel – there’s a decent grocery store nearby, some local restaurants that aren’t tourist traps, and you get to see how the city actually functions beyond the medieval center. Plus, if you’re traveling in summer, having that lake access is genuinely awesome. It’s where local families go to escape the heat, so you’ll get a totally different perspective on the city.

I’d definitely stay here again, especially for longer trips where you want some space to breathe and work, but still have easy access to everything Kraków offers. It’s not the place if you want to stumble home from Floriańska Street bars, but if you’re looking for a genuine base in the city rather than just a tourist crash pad, this spot really delivers.
