Okay, so I’ll be honest – when I first saw the address on Starowiślna, I was a bit skeptical. That street can be pretty busy during the day with all the trams rumbling by, but you know what? Once you get up to the third floor where this place sits, it’s actually surprisingly quiet. The apartment is tucked away in one of those gorgeous old Kraków buildings where the stairwell still has that slightly musty, old-world smell that somehow makes you feel like you’re stepping into history.

What really got me was how they’ve managed to fit everything you need into these three rooms without making it feel cramped. I mean, two full bathrooms in an Old Town apartment – that’s pretty rare, and honestly a game-changer when you’re traveling with friends or family. The place has this cozy, lived-in vibe that’s way better than those sterile hotel rooms you usually get. There’s actual character here, with those high ceilings and original hardwood floors that creak just enough to remind you you’re in a 19th-century building. The kitchen’s small but functional – perfect for making coffee in the morning or heating up some oscypek you picked up at the Cloth Hall (which is literally a five-minute walk away, by the way).

Location-wise, you’re right in the sweet spot. Sure, you’ll hear some nightlife noise on weekends – this is the Old Town after all – but it dies down by midnight usually. What I love is that you can walk to basically everything: Wawel Castle is maybe ten minutes if you take your time, the Main Square is right there, and if you want to escape the tourist crowds, Kazimierz is just across the river. Actually, here’s a local tip – there’s a fantastic milk bar called Bar Mleczny Pod Temidą just around the corner on Grodzka that serves the best pierogi for like three zloty. The kind of place you’d never find if someone didn’t tell you about it.

The apartment itself feels more like staying at a friend’s place than a rental – there are books on the shelves, decent WiFi (I was working remotely part of the time), and the beds are actually comfortable, which isn’t always a given in these old buildings. Check-in was smooth too, though fair warning: there’s no elevator, so if you’re hauling heavy suitcases, just mentally prepare for those stairs. But honestly, for the price and location, it’s a small trade-off. This place gets booked up pretty quickly during peak season – I stayed in October and it was perfect, caught those beautiful autumn colors in Planty Park right outside your doorstep.

  This apartment is located between the Jewish quarter and the Old town. Plenty of eateries and food shops around. The apartment is spatial, with 2 bathrooms, and well equiped kitchen. The apt had everything. From make up removers to complementary tea/coffee/oil etc.
  Please note that living room is facing a very loud street with trams going along it. But… If you keep the windows closed on that side, it's super quiet. Plus the bedrooms are located on the opposite side, facing the inner courtyard, so you can't hear a thing.
  I slept like a baby!
  Even during a heatwave (it was 90f in Krakow), apt remained cool and we'll ventilated, thanks to the old building and fans in each bedroom provided by the owner.
