I’ve stayed at a lot of places in Krakow, and honestly, Krakowiak Apartments on Rakowicka hit that sweet spot I’m always looking for – you know, where you feel like you’re living in the city rather than just visiting it. The building itself is tucked into this quiet residential stretch that most tourists never see, which means you get the authentic Krakow experience without the constant stream of tour groups walking past your window at 7 AM.
What really got me was how the owners clearly understand what travelers actually need. The apartments – and I mean proper apartments, not hotel rooms pretending to be apartments – have these little touches that make all the difference. The kitchen actually works (shocking, I know), there’s enough counter space to prep a real meal, and the coffee maker isn’t some tiny thing that brews thimble-sized cups. The beds are firm in that European way that I’ve grown to love, and the blackout curtains actually block light, which is crucial if you’re dealing with jet lag or those ridiculously bright Polish summer mornings. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward too – no hovering desk clerk, just clear instructions and a key that actually opens everything it’s supposed to.
Here’s the thing about the location that the address doesn’t tell you: you’re literally a fifteen-minute walk to Market Square, but you’re on the residential side of things where locals actually live and work. There’s a great pierogi place about three blocks down that I stumbled onto purely by accident, and the small grocery store on the corner stays open later than you’d expect. The tram connections are solid if you want to venture out to Kazimierz or up to Nowa Huta, and – this matters more than people think – there’s actual parking available if you’re brave enough to drive in Poland. The neighborhood gets properly quiet after about 10 PM, which is perfect if you’re the type who needs real sleep rather than just passing out from exhaustion. I mean, you’ll still hear the occasional late-night conversation drifting up from the street, but it’s more atmospheric than annoying. The 9.2 rating makes complete sense once you’ve been there a few days – it’s not trying to be fancy or impress you with marble lobbies, it’s just genuinely good at being what it is.

We had a truly enjoyable stay at this well-maintained and spotlessly clean apartment. The space was thoughtfully arranged, creating a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. The underground parking was a fantastic bonus, providing secure and hassle-free parking, which added to the overall convenience of our stay. I stayed at this apartment for a few days and had a very pleasant experience. The property is located in a quiet, residential neighborhood, perfect for those looking for peace and quiet after a day out. The apartment is spacious, clean, and equipped with the basic essentials needed for a comfortable stay.
The location is convenient—about a 20-minute walk to the city center, and just 10 minutes on foot to the train station. Overall, a great option for visiting the city while enjoying a calm and restful environment.
What could be improved: The negative aspect is that it is not well positioned on Google Maps — in fact, taxis, drivers, and Glovo couriers were unable to reach the destination even when using the exact address provided on Booking.

Apartment was very modern and very clean. All the kitchen equipment u could need. Fantastic induction hob and large fridge. Dishwasher even had washing tablets. Very comfortable and nice and warm after a day out on trips. 5 minute walk to big shopping centre. Outside garden looked great but we didn't get to use it because of the weather. Would be lovely on a nice sunny day. Wonderful shower and water always hot. Didn't use the carpark but would have been great if we wanted to hire a car. Would definately book again. What could be improved: No one on reception when we got to the apartments at night even though it was only 8pm. All locked up and lights off. Had to make 2 phone calls to get the keys. Then no one at reception 11 am to check out. You can see a small grocery shop across the road. But the complex is all fenced off and we could not gain access to the shop. Very modern apartment. Comfortable beds and quiet location. Good amount of space. Only 15-20 minute walk to old town. Right next to central train station.
What could be improved: No shelf for cosmetics in the shower cabin. Hard to find the reception at first with the instructions they give you.
