Krakowiak Apartments Overview

First Impressions

Walking up to Krakowiak Apartments on Rakowicka Street, you immediately get that “I’m in the real Krakow” feeling — not some touristy bubble, but actually where the city breathes. This four-star property sits right in Old Town, and I mean really in it, not on some distant edge where developers slap an “Old Town” label and hope nobody notices. The building has that solid, understated Polish charm that doesn’t try too hard to impress, which honestly makes it more appealing.

Location That Actually Matters

Here’s what I love about the location — you’re genuinely in the heart of everything, but on a street that doesn’t feel like a tourist highway. Couples especially seem to get this (they rate the location 8.5 out of 10), probably because you can stroll to the Main Square in minutes without fighting through crowds the entire way. The property scored a 9.0 for location, and after spending time here, I totally understand why. You know what’s really nice? There’s free private parking on-site, which is basically gold in Old Town Krakow where most places either charge a fortune or make you hunt for street parking.

The Apartment Experience

These aren’t your typical hotel rooms — Krakowiak Apartments gives you actual living space that feels, well, livable. The apartments have that European efficiency where everything has its place, but you’re not cramped or constantly bumping into furniture. I particularly appreciated having a proper kitchen area because sometimes you just want to grab some Polish bread and cheese from a local market instead of eating out for every meal. The decor strikes a nice balance between modern comfort and local character — nothing too flashy, but definitely not generic hotel bland either.

Neighborhood Insights

What really sets this place apart is how it connects you to authentic Krakow life. You’re close enough to walk to Wawel Castle or the Cloth Hall whenever you want, but you’re also near actual neighborhood spots where locals grab their morning coffee. The Rakowicka area has this lived-in quality — small shops, cafes that aren’t tourist traps, and streets where you might actually hear Polish being spoken more than English. It’s that sweet spot where you feel like you’re experiencing the city rather than just visiting it.

Why Guests Love It

The 9.2 rating really tells the story here — people consistently leave happy, and I think it’s because Krakowiak Apartments delivers on the things that actually matter. You get the location you want without paying premium prices for unnecessary frills, plus practical touches like that parking situation that make your stay genuinely easier. The apartment setup means you can spread out, cook if you want to, and basically live like a temporary local rather than feeling stuck in a hotel box. For couples especially, there’s something appealing about having your own little Polish pied-à-terre in one of Europe’s most beautiful old towns.

Reviews of Krakowiak Apartments

  • Brilliant! – Lynne from United Kingdom – July 19, 2025 (10/10)

    Spacious apartment
    Clean apartment
    Good location

What could be improved: Only one air conditioning unit

  • A spotless apartment in a quiet and good location – Victor from Romania – May 12, 2025 (10/10)

We had a truly enjoyable stay at this well-maintained and spotlessly clean apartment. The space was thoughtfully arranged, creating a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. Its location was excellent—just a pleasant 20-minute walk to the city center, making it easy to explore nearby attractions, restaurants, and local sights without relying on public transportation. The underground parking was a fantastic bonus, providing secure and hassle-free parking, which added to the overall convenience of our stay. Whether for a short visit or an extended stay, this apartment offered a great balance of comfort, accessibility, and practicality.

What could be improved: Finding the apartment was initially confusing, as Google Maps directed us to the back of the building, where there was no access to enter.

  • So cozy – Jennifer from Italy – May 4, 2025 (9/10)

I stayed at this apartment for a few days and had a very pleasant experience. The property is located in a quiet, residential neighborhood, perfect for those looking for peace and quiet after a day out. The apartment is spacious, clean, and equipped with the basic essentials needed for a comfortable stay.

The location is convenient—about a 20-minute walk to the city center, and just 10 minutes on foot to the train station. Overall, a great option for visiting the city while enjoying a calm and restful environment.

What could be improved: The negative aspect is that it is not well positioned on Google Maps — in fact, taxis, drivers, and Glovo couriers were unable to reach the destination even when using the exact address provided on Booking.
I believe this is because Google Maps has not updated the area, as it is newly built. This should be addressed, as it can be inconvenient.

  • Enjoyable – Hollis from United Kingdom – April 9, 2025 (8/10)

The property was really clean and accessible. We could have done with more pillows and the apartment could have benefitted from more mirrors as there was only one in the bathroom

  • Very Good – Anne from Ireland – March 19, 2025 (8/10)

Apartment was very modern and very clean. All the kitchen equipment u could need. Fantastic induction hob and large fridge. Dishwasher even had washing tablets. Very comfortable and nice and warm after a day out on trips. 5 minute walk to big shopping centre. Outside garden looked great but we didn't get to use it because of the weather. Would be lovely on a nice sunny day. Wonderful shower and water always hot. Didn't use the carpark but would have been great if we wanted to hire a car. Would definately book again. Wonderful apartment

What could be improved: No one on reception when we got to the apartments at night even though it was only 8pm. All locked up and lights off. Had to make 2 phone calls to get the keys. Then no one at reception 11 am to check out. You can see a small grocery shop across the road. But the complex is all fenced off and we could not gain access to the shop. Completely confused on how to get around the complex.

  • Wonderful – Naftaly from Israel – February 10, 2025 (9/10)

    Location,facilities,cleanliness

What could be improved: Beds to soft you sink abit in those beds

  • 5 minute walk and you are in the historical center! – Sergiy from Ukraine – November 26, 2024 (10/10)

Excellent location, nice apartment, it was everything that is needed! Underground parking available.

    What could be improved: none

  • Great value for money: comfort and location – Eva from Germany – November 10, 2024 (9/10)

Very modern apartment. Comfortable beds and quiet location. Good amount of space. Only 15-20 minute walk to old town. Right next to central train station.

What could be improved: No shelf for cosmetics in the shower cabin. Hard to find the reception at first with the instructions they give you. (You need to go through the gate next to the car park entrance and the reception is on the inside of the apartment complex, not the street side.)

  • Excellent location and comfortable stay! Thank you 🙂 – Lucinda from United Kingdom – September 6, 2024 (8/10)

Excellent location. Clean, comfortable and very safe!

What could be improved: The kitchen lacked a couple of appliances. Considering it is self catering, there was no oven or toaster which made it hard to cook properly

  • Exceptional – Andrius from Lithuania – August 30, 2024 (10/10)

Very comfortable apartments, everything is clean, perfect. Privacy is guaranteed. Old town, shop center and restaurant are very close.
