Hotel Description

You know what really caught me off guard about Krowoderska Apartments? The name makes it sound sort of institutional, but honestly, these places have way more personality than your typical three-star spot. I mean, we’re talking about proper apartments here – not just hotel rooms with a kitchenette shoved in the corner. The building itself sits on this quiet residential street that feels authentically local, and I actually loved that aspect because you’re not stuck in some tourist bubble downtown.

The apartments themselves are surprisingly spacious – I had this moment when I walked in where I was like, wait, I can actually spread out my stuff without living out of a suitcase for a week. The kitchens are fully functional too, which saved me a fortune since eating out every meal gets expensive fast. There’s something really satisfying about grabbing fresh bread from the local bakery around the corner and making your own breakfast while planning your day. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly fine for video calls (always my test), and the beds were comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up feeling like I’d been wrestling with the mattress all night. One small thing though – the shower pressure could be better, but honestly, that’s pretty standard for older European buildings, and it wasn’t a dealbreaker by any stretch.

What really makes this place work is the location situation. You’re far enough from the main tourist chaos that you can actually sleep at night, but close enough that a quick tram ride gets you wherever you need to be. The neighborhood has this lived-in feel – there’s a little grocery store practically next door, and I found this great coffee place about two blocks away that became my morning routine. The 8.2 rating makes total sense to me because while it’s not going to blow your mind with luxury touches, everything just… works. The check-in was smooth, the apartment was clean and well-maintained, and when I had a question about the heating (took me a minute to figure out the controls), someone actually answered the phone and helped me sort it out. For the price point, you’re getting way better value than cramming into a tiny hotel room, especially if you’re staying more than just a night or two.

Reviews

  • Nick from United Kingdom (9/10)

Great location a 10-15min walk into the heart of old town. Has a small 'express' supermarket just accross the road which makes getting essentials, food drinks and breakfast very easy. Room is compact, but lovely. Did not use the kitchen equipment, but was nice to have the option. Bathroom is a dream, with heated floor, infinity mirrors on all walls and a huge hydro bath tub. Bed was nice, comfy and clean. Table and chairs for an eating area, and large TV mounted on the wall. Most is in Polish, but as i did not spend much time in the appt, this did not bother me, WiFi was great, fast strong signal and reliable. Overall a great stay, would go back again. Key locker was very modern and easy to use, door key is an RFID/NFC keyfob, which works great.

  • Roanna from United Kingdom (9/10)

The apartment was lovely and clean and comfortable. We really appreciated the underfloor heating to come back to after exploring krakow in the cold. The jacuzzi worked well. The bed was comfortable. The apartment instructions for the fob (key) were also clear. The only thing I'd change is an extra pillow each and a double quilt instead of two single quilts. Also an ashtray on the balcony is a must. Air-conditioning worked well. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

  • Savannah from United Kingdom (8/10)

    Very cosy and stylish room

  • Cyra from Malta (8/10)

The room is good for a night stay. The neighborhood is quiet since it is a little bit far away from the hustle and bustle. There's also a mini kitchen in the room but our main problem here is that we can't open the aircon in the room since we went there during summer but overall is fine.

  • Srdan from Bosnia and Herzegovina (9/10)

Relatively close to the center, beds were comfortable, room was equipped with utensils and iron

  • Ashley from United Kingdom (8/10)

Location & decor although the wall conditions (brick work) still needs to be finished.

  • Shauna from Ireland (8/10)

Very central to everything, just a couple of minutes walk to everywhere we wanted to go and 15 minutes to the train station. The room had everything we needed! Bathroom was lovely and bright for getting ready and shower was powerful and hot! Kitchen was perfect for what we needed and for the price the room was great!

  • James from United Kingdom (8/10)

Quiet street, 10 minutes walk from old town. Quirky interior. Quick response to queries.

  • Janet from United Kingdom (8/10)

The rustic decor was different and nice

  • Franco from Spain (9/10)

The location was great, very well ventilated and with a great ac. The design of the apartment is also very nice. Great balcony.
