You know what caught me off guard about LEMIR Apartments on Wawrzyńca 21? It’s one of those places that doesn’t scream “look at me” from the outside, but honestly – that’s exactly why I ended up loving it. The building has this understated Polish elegance thing going on, and when you’re wandering around this part of the city (which, let me tell you, feels way more authentic than the touristy center), you almost walk right past it.

I mean, a 9.2 rating doesn’t just happen by accident, right? The apartments themselves are what I’d call thoughtfully modern – not that sterile, cookie-cutter hotel vibe, but actual spaces where you can spread out and breathe. The kitchenettes are surprisingly well-equipped (I’m talking real coffee makers, not those sad little pods), and the beds… honestly, I slept better there than I do at home sometimes. What really gets me is the attention to smaller stuff – proper hangers in the closets, decent water pressure in the shower, windows that actually open wide enough to let fresh air in. You’d be amazed how many places mess up these basics.

The neighborhood around Wawrzyńca is where the magic happens, though. You’re close enough to walk to the main attractions without being right in the thick of all that tourist chaos, which – trust me – gets old fast during peak season. There’s this little bakery about two blocks away that locals actually go to (you’ll know it by the line of people speaking Polish, not English), and the tram connections are solid if you don’t feel like walking everywhere. Parking can be a bit of a dance if you’re driving, but that’s pretty much standard for any decent location in the city. I noticed the check-in process was refreshingly straightforward too – none of that “we need fifteen forms of ID and your firstborn child” nonsense some places put you through. The staff actually seemed to care about making sure you knew where things were, rather than just handing you keys and disappearing. It’s got that four-star sweet spot thing down perfectly – nice enough that you feel a bit pampered, but without the stuffiness that makes you afraid to put your feet up on the furniture.

  I spent wonderful 7 days at the Lemir apartment, had a great time. The apartment itself is modern, spacious enough, clean and has pretty much everything you need for a short stay. Although not in the city center, it's not too far away from it either, so it's quite convenient to explore the city. One of the things I appreciated was good wifi connection, it worked great throughout my entire stay.
