Hotel Description
You know what surprised me most about the Liebeskind? It’s tucked away on this tiny cobblestone street – Józefa Szujskiego – that honestly feels more like a secret passage than an actual address. I mean, you’re literally steps from the main square, but it’s so quiet you’d never guess thousands of tourists are wandering around just around the corner. The building itself has this gorgeous facade that screams Old World charm, but once you step inside, there’s this really clever mix of historic bones and modern touches that actually works (unlike some places that try too hard and end up looking like a hotel chain’s idea of “boutique”).
The rooms are what sold me though – and I’m usually pretty picky about these things. They’ve got these original wooden floors that creak just enough to remind you you’re in a 400-year-old building, but the beds are seriously comfortable and the bathrooms are completely updated. No weird European shower situations here, thank god. What I really appreciated was how they handled the lighting – you know how some historic hotels are cave-dark? They’ve figured out how to keep it atmospheric without making you squint at your phone. The staff genuinely seems to know Krakow inside and out too, which makes a difference when you’re trying to figure out where to eat that isn’t packed with tour groups. They pointed me toward this little wine bar on Grodzka that I never would’ve found otherwise.
Location-wise, you’re going to love how walkable everything is, but here’s the thing – summer evenings can get a bit lively with all the street music and late-night wanderers. I actually didn’t mind it (felt very authentic), but if you’re a super light sleeper, maybe pack earplugs. Parking is… well, it’s Old Town Krakow, so don’t expect to pull up to a valet stand. There’s a garage about a five-minute walk away, or honestly, just skip the car entirely if you can. The whole area is so compact you’ll end up walking everywhere anyway. Oh, and one small thing – the elevator is tiny, like comically tiny, so if you’re traveling with massive suitcases, maybe pack lighter or embrace the stairs as part of the authentic experience. But really, for a four-star place with an 8.7 rating in one of Europe’s most beautiful old towns, the Liebeskind gets the balance right between character and comfort. It feels like staying in Krakow rather than just sleeping there, if that makes sense.
Apartments in Krakow provide travelers with authentic local experiences, allowing them to explore traditional Polish markets and cook with regional Galician specialties.

Reviews
Awesome location, very comfortable all around! – Julieanne from United States – August 15, 2025 (8/10)
The hotel is beautiful, the room was really nice and the breakfast bread was amazing!
What could be improved: There are several stairs leading up to the check in desk – I was not expecting that. There is an elevator once you get to the main level.Excellent option in Kraków – Leslie from United States – August 10, 2025 (10/10)
Very good hotel, excellent location, helpful staff, beautifully kept, comfortable, good breakfast, good value. I recommend it highly and I would return (I have in fact returned already, I stayed there twice).
What could be improved: I stayed twice, once in a superior room and once on the 4th floor, in a simpler room. While the superior room was more luxurious than I needed, in the end I liked it better than the 4th floor room because the 4th floor rooms only have skylights, not windows.Perfect – Kotryna from Lithuania – August 6, 2025 (10/10)

The rooms were spotlessly clean – I thought we were the first guests in the room but that's not likely. Cleaning every day was very thorough. The breakfast buffet was very good and some specialities every morning. The staff was great, very helpful and let us play cards in the basement room. Beds were really good as well as pillows so we slept well and heard absolutely nothing from other rooms and our room was facing the lift and still no noise. The location was perfect – peaceful surroundings, restaurants and grocery stores nearby, short walk to Old Town Square. Air conditioning worked very well. Will book again when we ever go to Krakow!
What could be improved: We were supposed to get rooms facing the backyard but got rooms facing the street. However the street was quiet so no noise problem. Our "view" wasn't a view at all because there was only one window which was so high that you could only see the sky. But we were there exploring Krakow, not looking at the window view and less window > less light in the room in the morning.Great hotel with friendly staff – Haleh from Canada – July 14, 2025 (9/10)
Central location and good breakfast.
Also Katerina the manager went out of her way to accommodate us in a better room.Excellent – Boaz from Ghana – July 11, 2025 (10/10)
Nice breakfast, very clean, very good shower. Value for money
Very nice! – Leslie from United States – July 8, 2025 (10/10)
This was a more luxurious hotel than I thought it would be, I wanted to be comfortable, but this more than I needed. For instance, my room had a huge, round bathtub. I had thought I might go to the thermal baths but with this, which was really relaxing, I didn't need to
What could be improved: All older buildings, in northern Europe or New York, always seem sort of dark to me inside, I'm used to Mediterranean and Pacific light. But this is inevitable
