You know what caught me off guard about M1 Main Square Studio? It’s actually tucked away on Studencka Street, which sounds like it should be all student chaos, but it’s this surprisingly quiet pocket right in Old Town. I mean, you’re literally a two-minute walk from the main square – I timed it because I’m weird like that – but somehow the noise from all those horse carriages and street musicians doesn’t really reach you here.

The studio itself has that modern Polish vibe going on, where they’ve clearly put money into making everything sleek without losing the Old Town character. Honestly, the space feels bigger than most hotel rooms you’ll get in Krakow’s center, and there’s actually decent counter space if you grab groceries from that little Żabka around the corner. The bed situation is solid – none of that European twin-bed-pushed-together nonsense. What really impressed me though was how they handled the typical Old Town building quirks. You know how these historic buildings can be… well, quirky with their plumbing and heating? They’ve actually sorted that out properly here. Hot water pressure was consistently good, and I visited in February when half the city’s heating systems seem to give up.

The location thing is where this place really shines, but not in the obvious tourist-trap way. Sure, you can stumble to the main square in your pajamas if you wanted, but more importantly, you’re positioned perfectly for actual Krakow life. There’s this fantastic pierogi spot called Pierogarnia Krakowiacy just down the street that most tourists never find because it looks like nothing from the outside. And if you’re doing the Kazimierz thing – which, let’s be honest, everyone does – it’s a pleasant fifteen-minute walk through streets that actually show you how locals live. The 8.6 rating makes total sense when you factor in that you’re getting genuine Old Town access without paying those insane Market Square prices or dealing with the constant foot traffic right outside your window. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if I was doing one of those long weekend trips where you want to feel settled rather than just passing through.

  It was spotless clean, very close to the main square and the coordinators of it were very helpful.
  
  What could be improved: The first night it was a little too hot and stuffy but we found how to turn off the radiator and it was fine for the second night. It would be worse if it was too cold so no real complaint here.

  Very easy walking distance to the main square. Good size appartment with loads of storage space. Washing machine available which was great along with an clothes dryer, iron and hair dryer. Smart TV also available.

  It was a fantastic apartment. It had everything I needed. The kitchenette was well fitted out. Bed was super comfortable. The fan helped immensely to keep me cool.
  
  What could be improved: Really I'd like to have said nothing. However on my last night the occupants of the neighbouring room. Didn't follow the quiet hours. Talking loudly until midnight. Then they came back at 2.30am and were talking loudly. Not a fault of the owner but it did spoil an otherwise perfect time in the apartment

  What could be improved: Noise coming from other rooms, mostly drunk people coming back to the stay. In one of the apartments unfortunately someone vomiting which I could hear with close doors to my apartment.

  It’s a 5min walking distance from city centre, it’s close to everything, shops, transports like bus or tram, it was really easy to find and to get here from the airport. It’s only a 30min travel by bus.
  
  What could be improved: The only issue I found was there was no microwave, and the apartment is in the -1 floor.
