You know what caught me off guard about Main Square Apartments – LoftAffair? The name actually undersells it. I mean, sure, it’s technically a 3-star place, but walking into those loft-style spaces felt way more upscale than I expected. The ceilings are properly high – like, you could throw a basketball up there and not worry about hitting anything – and there’s this industrial-chic thing happening with exposed brick and metal fixtures that somehow doesn’t feel cold or pretentious.

The apartment setup is honestly perfect if you’re tired of cramped hotel rooms where you’re basically living on your bed. Here you’ve got actual space to spread out, a kitchen that’s not just for show (I actually cooked breakfast twice, which never happens when I travel), and these big windows that let in serious light. The location puts you right in the thick of things without the chaos – you can walk to pretty much everything that matters, but you’re not dealing with drunk tourists stumbling past your window at 2 AM. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward too, none of that awkward hovering around a lobby waiting for your room to be ready.

What really sold me though was how the place feels lived-in rather than sterile. The furniture has character – not that generic hotel stuff that looks like it came from the same catalog as every other place. There are little touches like actual books on the shelves and art that someone clearly chose because they liked it, not because it matched a corporate brand guide. The 8.9 rating makes total sense once you’re there; it’s one of those places where the sum is definitely greater than its parts. I’d honestly stay here again, and I’m pretty picky about accommodations. Just don’t expect a traditional hotel experience – this is better, but different, if that makes sense.
