Honestly, when I first walked up to Wiślna 4, I wasn’t sure what to expect – the entrance is pretty understated, just a regular door on a quiet side street. But that’s actually perfect because you’re literally thirty seconds from the Main Market Square without dealing with all the tourist chaos right outside your window. I mean, you can hear the horse carriages clip-clopping on cobblestones if you listen, but it’s more charming than annoying.

The apartments themselves are on the second floor (that’s third floor if you’re American), and look – the stairs are narrow and a bit steep because, well, this is a 14th-century building. But once you’re up there, Sylvi has done something really special with these spaces. The rooms feel authentically Krakow without being all fake medieval touristy. You’ve got these gorgeous original wooden beams overhead, and the windows actually open properly so you can get that fresh air flowing through. What I loved most was how quiet it gets at night, even though you’re in the absolute heart of Old Town. Wiślna street doesn’t get the foot traffic that, say, Grodzka or Floriańska do, so you can actually sleep.

You know what really impressed me though? The little details that show someone who lives here set this place up. There’s proper thick curtains for those bright summer mornings, the shower has actual water pressure (not always a given in these old buildings), and they’ve figured out the perfect balance between historical character and modern comfort. The kitchenettes are compact but thoughtfully equipped – I made coffee every morning and picked up fresh bread from the bakery around the corner on Sławkowska. Speaking of which, you’re about a two-minute walk from some of the best pierogi in the city at that little place on Szczepańska street that doesn’t even have a sign. The location really is something special because tourists tend to stick to the main square area, but locals actually live and shop on these smaller streets, so you get this authentic neighborhood feel while being closer to St. Mary’s Basilica than most hotels can offer. Just so you know, if you’re arriving by car, parking is going to be an adventure – but honestly, that’s true anywhere in Old Town, and there’s a decent garage about five minutes away on foot.

  As a first time visitor to Krakow and a solo female traveler, this location was ideal. I felt safe and even though it’s so close to the main square the nights were quiet. The apartment is exactly as pictured, clean and modern style, with great amenities. Charming artwork and fixtures, new appliances and comfortable bed. Krakow is a beautiful city!

  Location was perfect – a minutes walk from the Main Square and all that it offers. Apartment was very clean and very comfortable. Apartment was also very quiet and we both slept extremely well.

  What could be improved: The entrance to the property lead not very nice , very old and needs a lot of work done to it to get it to a good standard. And there was no lift either so had to carry our suitcase up very steep stairs to the second floor .

  Great Stay, Perfect Location
  The hotel was clean, well-equipped, and had a comfy bed, making for a pleasant stay. The location was fantastic, just off the main square, offering easy access to nearby attractions. Would definitely recommend!
  
  What could be improved: I was under the impression that the room would have a balcony, but it turned out to just be a window facing the street. Additionally, for a 4-day stay, only two towels were provided, which felt a bit insufficient. We also would have liked extra pillows but there wasn't any

  The apartment was exceptional, having recently been renovated everything was spotless. Honestly couldn't fault a thing. It was in the heart of the old town which meant everything was within walking distance. Would highly recommend.

  What could be improved: The apartment was lovely, clean and well maintained and homely. Could do with a larger bedsheets and about 3 large scatter cushion on the sofa and a tea towel to dry crockery.. But it is a fabulous apartment. And certainly recommend for a holiday stay
